Star on a TV Show - The Stylistics (Cover) by @yisusth
A warm greeting to this wonderful #Music community. Once again, I have the honor of sharing my trumpet rendition of "Star on a TV Show," a romantic soul ballad influenced by the Philly Soul movement, composed by George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti, and Luigi Creatore, and performed by The Stylistics. I've had the opportunity to record a couple of tracks by this group, and I love their mid-70s style. The lyrics are enchanting, comparing the couple to a television star or a movie queen, and stating that if the world could see her as he does, they would understand why he loves her so much. This piece is most likely in F major, but I play it in C major with warm, deep sounds that contrast with the falsetto of Russell Thompkins Jr., the band's vocalist. The tempo is slow with a relaxed rhythmic pattern.

Una vez más tengo el honor de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Star on a TV Show», una balada soul romántica influenciada por el movimiento Philly Soul compuesta por George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti y Luigi Creatore e interpretada por la banda The Stylistics. He tenido la oportunidad de grabar un par de temas de este grupo, y me encanta su estilo de mediados de los 70. La letra es encantadora y compara a la pareja con una estrella de televisión o una reina del cine, y afirma que si el mundo pudiera verla como él la ve, entenderían por qué la ama tanto. Esta pieza seguramente se encuentre en F Mayor, en mi caso la interpreto en C Mayor con sonidos cálidos y graves que contrastan con el falsete de Russell Thompkins Jr, vocalista de la banda. El Tempo es lento con un patron ritmico relajado.
Life has its challenges, and in it, we both lose and win. Sometimes we may think we lose much more than we gain. When we choose to live in a positive and optimistic way, we can see that the gifts we receive far outweigh the bad. I recently shared with my beginner English students that we should be grateful for our efforts. A wonderful exercise is to reflect at the end of the day on the things we have accomplished and the things we have gained. In my case, I call it giving an account to God for the things I have done during the day. Now, that sincere conversation, that prayer, helps us see the glass as half full, not half empty. It also allows us to be grateful for the blessings we receive daily. We cannot live in the mire of mediocrity and pessimism all the time. That diminishes our happiness. La vida tiene sus retos, y en ella se pierde y se gana. Algunas veces podemos pensar que perdemos mucho mas de lo que ganamos. Cuando escogemos vivir de una manera positiva y optimista, podemos ver que son más las dadivas que recibimos que lo malo. Hace poco compartía con mis estudiantes de ingles básico que debemos ser agradecidos por nuestros esfuerzos. Un ejercicio maravilloso es reflexionar al final del día sobre las cosas que hemos logrado, y las cosas que hemos ganado. En mi caso particular, le llamo rendir cuentas a Dios sobre las cosas que he hecho en el día. Ahora esa conversación sincera, esa oración nos ayuda ver el vaso medio lleno y no medio vacío. También nos permite ser agradecidos por las bendiciones que recibimos a diario. No se puede vivir en el fango de la mediocridad, y del pesimismo todo el tiempo. Eso nos resta felicidad. Que puedan recibir esta interpretación de manera positiva. Las mejores vibras para todos.
