A warm greeting to this beautiful #Music community. I have the pleasure of sharing my trumpet performance of "Route 66", a song that mixes genres such as jazz and rhythm & blues, composed by Bobby Troup in 1946. It was inspired by a road trip with his wife from Pennsylvania to California. Route 66 is very popular in American culture and has great significance in its history, music, cinema, and literature. The lyrics invite us to enjoy the trip along Route 66 through emblematic cities with a mix of adventure, nostalgia, and the pleasure of traveling by road. The melody is cheerful, fluid, and with short phrases. My favorite version is by Nat King Cole because of his soft and elegant voice, and I love the way his passing notes and blues sound. The original key is C Major; in my case, I found a sheet of music in A Major. The rhythm is a swing groove in 4/4 time.

Life is like a highway. In my four decades of life, I've learned that we're on a journey with storms, detours, and heavy traffic. Not all roads are the same for everyone. Some will have small potholes and difficulties. Others will face challenges where we need more traction. As a child, I loved traveling in a jeep to the mountains, and sometimes the dusty roads turned into mud when it rained. As we climbed a very high road, the car would slip and slide to the side of the road, and other times, it would slide backward. Those were moments of great adrenaline. Fortunately, the driver was very skilled at driving even in the inclement weather. At one point, the car got stuck in the mud, and we had to put chains on the wheels for greater traction. When we face difficult challenges, it's important to seek instruments that create greater traction in our lives, such as faith, love, and hope. I sincerely hope you enjoy my performance. Blessings.

Bendiciones.
