Today I pay tribute to my grandmother Ana, who recently passed away at the age of 97 and whom I consider to have been an angel in her family's life, a heroine, an example for everyone. A loving woman, with a strong character and honesty, who taught us about the value of work. Until her last days, she always had aspirations to undertake and be self-sufficient. She was a woman of the countryside who dedicated her life to cultivating the land and raising animals such as chickens, ducks, cows, and geese. A few months before her passing, she bought a calf to raise. That indeed is a true challenge in her longevity. Anyone would have rested and retired from any labor in the last years of their life, but that was not part of her plans. It was difficult to separate her from her land, from her way of life. She would visit us for a few days, and as soon as she saw an opportunity, she would return to her farm. I hope this song and this tribute are for her enjoyment.

Hoy rindo homenaje a mi abuela Ana, quien recientemente ha fallecido a los 97 años y quien considero que fue un ángel en la vida de su familia, una heroína, un ejemplo para todos. Una mujer amorosa, de carácter firme y honesta que nos enseño sobre el valor de trabajo. Ella hasta sus últimos días siempre tuvo aspiraciones de emprender y de ser autosuficiente. Ella es una mujer del campo que dedico su vida a cultivar la tierra y a criar animales como gallinas, patos, vacas y gansos. Unos meses antes de su partida compro un becerro para criarlo. Eso si que es un verdadero reto en su longevidad. Cualquiera se echaría a descansar, y se jubilaría de cualquier labor en los últimos anos de su vida, pero eso no era parte de sus planes. Era difícil separarla de su tierra, de su estilo de vida. Ella nos visitaba por pocos días, y apenas veía una oportunidad se devolvía a su finca. Espero esta canción y este homenaje sea para su disfrute.
