Everflowing Clarity (New song and Music Video) - A Soothing Fantasy Folk lullaby by the creek

"Everflowing clarity" is a transporting, immersing and soothing lullaby featuring ethereal enchanting airy distant voices, harp and a double ocarina. It's also the first new music video I've released after an hiatus of almost 3 months, so feels so great to share new music again. I hope it helps you relax and unwind, as you immerse yourself in the calming sounds of nature and the sounds of birds and a playful creek.

Waters must flow not to become stagnant, if they flow they will eventually collect into a powerful stream. Hope it takes to a "clear" and "calm" space while you listen to it.

It was a self-healing exercise for me to find clarity during some chaotic months. Nothing ever stays the same even if we think that way, we are undergoing constant renewal. It's a very simple one, but I hope it makes you feel and please let me know. I find your comments most encouraging.

Showcasing some of the instruments I play

I tend to use many instruments in my music, but not always they're shown on video, so I will try to make more videos like this one, showcasing the instruments in simpler arrangements so you can get to hear them. Do you like an idea? It might open the possibility of making some acoustic versions of my songs too. ( I won't neglect new material though, there is A LOT in the making) and I try to dive into it as energy allows. It's good that Spring is unfolding because as I mention in the previous post, I feel a boost of energy as everything comes back to life.

Double Ocarina

The main melody was improvised last year on a small tik tok last year (This small snippet when the song was born is also attached in this post) but I developed it into a longer theme this February 2023 with more instruments now. I originally composed this song to showcase my "double ocarina", as it has two chambers is able to play two melodies at the same time. Here is a close up of my instrument which is one of a kind as it has my logo YIDNETH engraved. I play many wind instruments (tin whistle, recorder...) but this is the most difficult to play because both chambers are independent and you can play two different melodies (not only a drone note). The fingering is a bit a brain-twister and not so intuitive and you need to blow evenly through both chambers to stay on pitch, but it's a very rewarding result, like two flutes at the same time.

Celtic Harp

Celtic Lap Harp (this one is by Harpsicles). It is a small fully levered harp but small, light weight and with only 26 strings, so that makes it ideal to bring along outdoors as it's very easy to transport. I feel this instrument is so Elven, I always feel in Middle Earth when I play harp in the woods.

Kalimba (Thumb Piano)

This is an African instrument consistent of a wooden music box and metal tines. It sounds like a "music box" somehow.

Above: My kalimba. I had previously used it in "Ode to Cynthia" and "Dark Crystal Age of Resistance" theme, but I need to play it a bit more to become used to it. Still I bring it sometimes to the orchard and sing along. It's just a beginner models so it suffers from the curse of "dead tines" which limits my learning until I get a better instrument.

My favourite time of the year

As the waters of the creek flow, may your thoughts clear. Now with Climate change and the awful heat waves, I value even so much more this element. Water is life. Everything is "tender" now. Last Summer was so dry that I'm elated to hear the gurgling water and I wanted to share that "feeling"
By the way, yesterday 22nd of March was World Water Day, a bit belated, but just to let you know, we should never take it for granted.
