Definitivamente me arriesgo a afirmar, que hay canciones que son, junto a su autor, total e increíblemente atemporales.

Y ese es el caso de la canción: "Poema de Amor", de Joan Manuel Serrat, compuesta y publicada en 1969 dentro de su cuarto álbum de estudio: "La paloma", editado por el sello Zafiro/Novola.

Ese disco fue grabado en los estudios Fonit-Cetra de Milán, Italia, y marcó el primer trabajo de Serrat en castellano, después de sus tres discos iniciales en catalán.

En este álbum, los arreglos de "Poema de Amor" estuvieron a cargo del también genial Juan Carlos Calderón.

Esta sublime obra musical, es un canto muy íntimo y delicado, que convierte la ternura en música y la nostalgia en poesía.

Hoy me atrevo a rendirle homenaje con mi modesta versión, buscando no imitar, sino abrazar y multiplicar la esencia de su mensaje: "el amor casi siempre se nos presenta como refugio, como memoria, como huella imperecedera".

Ésta, mi humilde manera de agradecer a Serrat por su colosal legado poético y musical.

Greetings, fellow music lovers!

I definitely dare to say that there are songs that, along with their author, are totally and incredibly timeless.

And that is the case with the song "Poema de Amor" (Love Poem), by Joan Manuel Serrat, composed and released in 1969 on his fourth studio album, "La Paloma" (The Dove), published by the Zafiro/Novola label.

That album was recorded at Fonit-Cetra Studios in Milan, Italy, and marked Serrat's first work in Spanish, after his initial three albums in Catalan.

On this album, the arrangements for "Poema de Amor" were done by the equally brilliant Juan Carlos Calderón.

This sublime musical work is a very intimate and delicate song that transforms tenderness into music and nostalgia into poetry.

Today I dare to pay homage to it with my modest version, seeking not to imitate, but to embrace and amplify the essence of its message: "love almost always presents itself to us as a refuge, as memory, as an imperishable imprint."
