The Beatles raided my house.
Hello music friends. Do you like the Beatles' music? I have to confess that I didn't listen to them much. To tell you the truth, I only know a few of the songs "Yellow Submarine," made popular by Ringo, and "Imagine" by John Lennon. They were very popular in Cuba, as they are all over the world, although for some reason, we couldn't listen to them for a while.
These days, a young son of a friend of mine is at my house. He's a Beatles fan and listens to them all the time. His name is Oliver, and he loves to play guitar like George Harrison. His father taught him to love the music of that group, which was the rage of pop rock music in the 1960s.
Oliver has many items with Beatles prints and has had the opportunity to travel to places where they were and left their mark on history. He carries a portrait of them in his backpack like a good amulet. It's worn, a sign of the times he holds it in his hands, proudly shows it off, or speaks to it alone.
The Beatles formed in Liverpool in 1957 when Paul McCartney joined a group that had previously been called the Quarrymen and adopted the name we all know today. The first members were John Lennon and other members of his school. They began rehearsing at home and playing at family events and small crowds. Then, in 1960, they were given the opportunity to play in Hamburg, Germany, and they began to grow.
Oliver knows many interesting things that almost no one remembers anymore. So I'll tell you about that because I'm getting excited about his stories. It turns out that if it hadn't been for the Beatles, the use of left-handed instruments wouldn't have become popular. Before then, musicians had to customize their own instruments or arrange for luthiers to pay a lot of money.
Then, Paul McCartney, born left-handed, changed the strings on his guitar and bass himself, and it was quite a success. In this sensational way, with all that light shining on him and so many fans applauding his initiative, he encouraged instrument manufacturing companies to produce guitars in the McCartney style.
Speaking a little about McCartney, I'll tell you that he wrote such well-known songs as "Yesterday" and "Here, There, and Everywhere," which many people still sing today. This brilliant musician was born in Liverpool, and after the Beatles conquered the world with their US tour in 1964 (that's another story I'll tell later), he continued to develop his talent.
As my friend Oliver knows about this band, there are numerous stories, each one more interesting than the last. He knows about the music, about the family, about the places where they lived, about how they learned chords.
He tells me all this, and I tell you all this. I'm already a Beatles fan; they have very interesting lyrics and very engaging music. For this reason, I'll be telling you in future posts about their beginnings, important events, and their dissolution. For now I'm singing Ask me why I'll say I love you and I'm always thinking of you.

It's cool that Oliver is such a huge fan of The Beatles, and now you are too. :)) I had a teenage student who was a fan as well, wearing such a T-shirt and playing several of the songs from The Beatles. :))
During communism in Poland, the Beatles were also banned. But somehow, someone always managed to play their songs on the radio :D Or vinyl records from Sweden or England :D D
Thanks for sharing the story of a young Fab4 fan :)
Un grupo para todos los tiempos. Saludos
