Three tunes from the album "L'Enfant Sauvage" - Gojira

Hello music friends!

Welcome to my #TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday entry!

Today I want to share three songs (it was really hard for me to choose just three) by a band I met in the fortunately distant month of March 2020... If you remember, while some were already in lockdown, Portugal, on March 12th, announced the closure of schools and public establishments, and canceled all other events. One reason for this: FEAR! A new viral infection caused the whole world to go into forced apnea, leading to damage if not greater than the infection itself, damage that will have consequences for many years to come.... (I can still look back today and shudder at the atrocities that were committed in the name of safeguarding a common good? Could it be?). Well, I'll leave this reflection for another post that I should do soon about what I went through during all the time that I was prevented from having a more normal life. During the alternating periods when I was at home (teleworking), I spent most of my time on a well-known video-streaming platform (completely unknown to me until then...) Twitch. On this platform I had the opportunity to meet and interact with many well-known artists, and some completely anonymous ones, but with superb quality. One of the artists I followed was f1gg3 (that's Figge), a Swedish boy with enormous talent. And at one of his live performances, I had the chance to see him play songs by a group I hadn't heard of before.

That group is called Gojira! The French heavy-metal band, formerly known as Godzilla, whose line-up includes Joseph Andrew Duplantier (rhythm guitar and vocals) and his brother Mario François Duplantier (drums) and Christian Roger Andreu (guitar), who pound out hundreds of songs in powerful, rhythmic tunes that bring out the most animal in each of us. What impressed me most about this French group was the fantastic quality and clarity of the notes they played, even when we're talking about rhythms above 220 bpm!
Here today, I've chosen three songs in which the harmonicas are the main theme, which accompany the songs, and which give them a special flavor and touch. Have you heard of this French band?

One of the good things covid has brought me: an amplification of my musical tastes.
