Born on July 7, 1975, this virtuoso musician, winner of ten Grammy Awards, has already been named the 70th best guitarist of all time by the famous Rolling Stone magazine!

With a background of Polish, Scottish and Canadian ancestry, he was born in a neighborhood in the North American city of Detroit.

At the age of six, his gift for music began to emerge, and he made his debut on the drums. In his teens, blues and rock were among his biggest influences, and this is more than evident in the personal stamp he put on the White Stripes. At the age of 15, he took up the guitar, forced by circumstances.

His then wife, Meg White, who in the group The White Stripes, founded in 1997, provided the percussion and backing vocals, taking one of the most promising projects to stardom!

The band sadly came to an end in 2011, marked by the marital divorce of its two members.

Tendo como base uma ascendência polaca, escocesa e canadense, nasceu num bairro da cidade Norte-Americana de Detroit.

Aos seis anos começou logo a despertar o seu dom pela música, estreando-se na bateria. Na sua adolescência, os blues e o rock eram das suas maiores influências, e isso é mais do que notório no seu cunho pessoal que empregou nos White Stripes. Aos 15 anos começou a tomar guitarra, muito forçado pela força das circunstâncias.

A sua esposa de então, Meg White, que no grupo The White Stripes, fundado em 1997, garantia a percussão, e as vozes de apoio, levando um dos mais promissores projectos até ao estrelato!

A banda infelizmente encerrou a sua existência, em 2011, muito marcado pelo divórcio conjugal dos dois elementos que a compunham.
