Welcome to my #TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday entry!

Good morning, everyone! Another Tuesday, another birthday boy and three more fantastic songs!

Today I want to mention Trevor Charles Horn, who was born on this day in 1949. British producer and songwriter, who had a tremendous influence on the electronic and pop music of the 80s! His influence was so extraordinary that many even call him “The Man Who Invented the 80's”!

Trevor learned bass by himself when he was younger and in 1970 he worked as a studio musician, building his own studio and producing several singles for many artists.

His fame reached stratospheric heights when in 1979, as a member of the band “The Buggles”, he released the mega-hit “Video killed the radio star”.

Having been born at the end of the 70s, and having grown up with a transition from vinyl records to CDs, I caught up with the whole fantastic adventure of music, this art so loved by so many.

I still remember watching a program on the second Portuguese television channel, which aired on Saturday mornings, and which showed the video-clips of the best-selling songs/albums of that week in the UK.

Of course, songs like “Video Killed the Radio Star” were a must, as was “Call Me” by The Blondie and much more.

The sound of the synthesizers, the very rhythmic beat, and the rhythm guitars, with the well-tuned voices, were a sign of the great times to come. Everything was glamorous, passionate, colorful and carefree.

I miss those times...

I hope you like my selection for today of these three songs by "The Buggles" that will get anyone's feet in the air, tapping along to the rhythm of the music!

I hope you enjoyed this little selection from the birthday singer of the day.

Cheers🍀

Bem Hajam🍀

Yes, you're absolutely right. It deserves a more developed and better-written publication. I was a bit sparse with my words, and didn't do justice to what this true piece of art from the 80s conquered and changed in the musical universe! Thanks for your support!

Thank you, BigTako! The visuals were all about it... that glow, that colors, and the wardrobe... Amazing times, right?
