How is live going?
How is week's going so far? We are heading already to the hump day, right?
The last week's I've had some extra work, that made me cut off some of the more desirable activities, like spending some time, just relaxing a reading a good book, or just enjoying a good record. I cannot remember the last time that I went to the cinema. I think it was when I've seen the last Matrix Resurrections... So many months ago!
I’ve heard a lot of great things about Christopher Nolan’s movie. Have you guys seen it yet? What did you think? I haven’t read The Odyssey, the book the movie is based on, either, so I can’t say whether it’s a good adaptation or not.

For today, and for my Tuesday post, as usual, I’m bringing you another birthday celebrant. And since I’m in the mood for some uplifting music today, here are three songs I’ve picked out by the band Wild Cherry.
Bryan Bassett turns 72 today, but he’s still sharing plenty of his talent through live performances.
Bassett was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and began playing in various local bands before joining Wild Cherry in 1975.
I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t recognize the opening chorus of Wild Cherry’s best-known song, “Play That Funky Music,” which is performed by our birthday boy himself.
It’s amazing how music can influence us so profoundly. Who doesn’t remember a live performance by one of their favorite groups, or even an artist or band whose albums they didn’t think were anything special, but who then proved to be incredibly skilled in a live setting?
Here are my top three picks of the songs by this group that move me the most!

I've read the book about Odyssey... I haven't seen the movie yet, but it must be worth seeing on the big screen. It's a shame the 70mm option (supposedly the director's preferred version) isn't available in Montreal; there's only one projector, and it broke down last week. But I'll still try to see it at the cinema; it'll be better than on my computer screen. Have you seen it?

I think I've just once went to the cinema by myself. Not that I like to talk r to eat during the movie projection, but the company makes it more valuable... all the experience of sharing it with someone that shares some connection points with me.
Maybe this movie could be one of those that deserves to be seen by myself.
Tell me when you see it. Since your validation should be much better then mine, since I haven't read the book earlier 😁

I'm in the beginning of one thick book for such long time... I have to start over again, since so many weeks passed by, that I've lost the "momentum"... 😅
I'm trying to finish the trilogy of 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz'.. and you?
As I said, it's a thick book for people that struggle with reading like me😅
It is named "Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty." from Daron Acemoglu & James A. Robinson
It is very interesting, and I "stopped" in page 148.... Shame on me! Got to start over soon!
I've heard about the 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz', but I don't know the particular plot, if it a biographic book, or based on historical events... Going to google it to find out more about it 😉
Ah, economics... not surprised. Although I find men's book recs boring, lol (juz kidding). I like talking to them 'coz they tap me back to reality, especially when I am overwhelmed.
The Tattooist of Auschwitz is actually a romance, lol, so it might not be your taste, but why not give it a try?

Exactly! I don't read them... This one is my first one over this topic. I don't have a particular interest in economics, but I bought it to learn about "how the world "works"" in this particular topic!
Just to give you a short glimpse of my "taste" in books. My last one, one that I've read in almost without putting down for more then one day, was from Haruki Murakami (The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle).
Do you already read something from him? It is so intense and creative writing that it is very captive, IMHO.
