How has your week been? This week is strangely going by faster than I would have expected. Even though there aren’t any holidays, unlike last week, today was quite hectic, and I’m coming home feeling pretty tired.
I’ve noticed that the hours I’m getting to rest aren’t quite enough to make me feel refreshed.
I’ll see if I can get to the gym earlier tomorrow, so I can still get a few small chores done around the house afterward, like making lunch.
So let’s talk about today’s birthday boy!
Today marks the 76th birthday of the lead singer of the Philadelphia group, The Stylistics!
And who doesn’t remember those huge hits that had our parents dancing to these true ballads many years ago? Even today, these songs are fantastically good for enjoying a moment alone with our soulmate.
The songs are distinctly melodic, rhythmic, and have a very calm tempo, allowing listeners to appreciate their notes and cadences.
Next, I’m going to share with you three tracks I’ve chosen from this great band’s vast repertoire.
The band, formed in 1968, earned three gold albums and five gold singles!
