Three Tune Tuesday ~ Shirley Manson ~ Birthday Girl #54 [Eng-Pt]

Good morning, everyone!
Last week, I was unable to participate in TTT for an excellent reason. I was on retreat, and I took the opportunity to disconnect for a while. It was a very good week, which allowed me to rest and, above all, reconnect with myself.
So, let's get to this week's three choices! Today is the birthday of one of my all-time favorite singers! I'm talking about Shirley Manson, who turns 59 today. It's amazing how time flies, isn't it?
The Godmother of Rock, as she is often called, has a very distinctive voice. Her deep and somewhat rebellious tone set her apart from other vocalists from a very early age.
In 1994, she joined Garbage, which has long been, and still is today, one of my favorite bands.

Na semana passada não consegui participar no TTT por uma excelente razão. Estive em retiro, e aproveite para me desligar um pouco. Foi uma semana muito boa, que deu para descansar e principalmente reconectar comigo mesmo.
Vamos então às três escolhas da semana! Hoje uma das minhas cantoras favoritas de sempre faz anos! Falo-vos de Shirley Manson, que hoje completa os seus 59 anos. Impressionante como o tempo passa, não é verdade?
A madrinha do Rock, como é muito frequentemente apelidada, tem uma voz que é muito característica. Seu timbre profundo e algo rebelde, desde muito cedo a distinguiram dentre as demais vocalistas.
Em 1994 juntou-se aos Garbage, que foi desde muito tempo, e ainda o é hoje, uma das minhas bandas de eleição.

I saw Garbage live - once. Was about 10 years ago. Shirley was incredible then, and remains so. Great choice of tunes :)
I saw them back in 1999! In the Festival that happened in Lisbon "T99". It was absolutely awesome! And I also recall the performance of Guano Apes, and off course the Metallica \m/ \m/
Here is a image of the Festival ticket. Back then, tickets were so great... colorful and so original. Nowadays, like some music bands, they are much look a like, with nothing that distinguishes from the rest..

I love that 1995 First Garbage record!
Vow was always my fav song by Garbage ever! Most my friends preferred the bigger singles Only Happy When It Rains or Stupid Girl. I always said Vow was best song on the record!
My second fav song is on the 1998 follow up second record. The album overall I think takes a step down but this song was more like the first skin vibe ⬇️
