Three Tune Tuesday ~ Sam Smith ~ Birthday Boy #91
Welcome to my #TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday entry!
Today I’d like to share three songs by a very famous singer who turned 34 today. Born in London, this artist—Samuel Frederick Smith, better known as Sam Smith—has captivated us with the melodic quality of his songs from a very early age. These are songs that make us hum along, even if we can’t sing or don’t even follow his work.
Radio stations have played this artist countless times ever since he first appeared on the music scene.
Although I’m not an unconditional fan of this artist, I’ve had the opportunity and the great honor of seeing him live on two occasions at the same festival. Nos Alive. And I want to tell those who haven’t had that opportunity yet that his voice truly leaves a mark on anyone listening. He has a special gift for touching the deepest corners of people’s hearts—even those who might think they don’t like any particular kind of music, just as happened to me.
His genius and the quality of his voice are sure to leave a lasting mark for many generations to come.
How has your week been? Did you get a chance to go out over the weekend? I had the opportunity to visit two museums on Sunday, thanks to International Museum Day, which was celebrated yesterday, May 18. One of the museums is The Lisbon Tropical Botanical Garden, which, as the name suggests, is a museum featuring various species of trees and vegetation from all corners of the world—a place I had already had the chance to visit a little over two years ago. And the other is the Museum of Contemporary Art – MAC/CCB, which offers a very diverse collection of works by various artists from the last century and this one. From painting, sculpture, and screen printing to video. This exhibition always surprises, and this time was no exception.
I wish everyone a great week; take the opportunity to love those by your side even more. After all, what matters in the end is the extent to which we love and have been loved. The extent to which we leave things better than we found them, or at least don’t leave them worse than we found them.
Have a great week, everyone!

And since this artist never ceases to amaze me, here’s a fourth track from one of his songs that first caught my attention. Here it is!
