Hello to all music lovers!

Welcome to another edition of TTT! Today's birthday girl is Rosalind “Roz” Ashford-Holmes. Who has heard of this music diva who was part of Martha and the Vandellas?

Born on September 2, 1943, in Detroit, she began singing in choirs at an early age.

Her cheerful disposition and unmistakable voice were a very important part of this musical style. If you listen to the three songs I've chosen for today, you may well know all three!

I've always associated the first one with the Rolling Stones, but interestingly, the original version was recorded in 1964 by Martha and the Vandellas, composed by William Stevenson, Marvin Gaye, and Ivy Jo Hunter.

Their energetic music, with a beat very much in the style of the 60s and 70s, continued to seduce many people over the years, and even today they are still part of the playlist at many wedding parties!

Bem vindos a mais uma edição do TTT! A aniversariante de hoje é Rosalind "Roz" Ashford-Holmes. Quem é que já ouviu falar desta diva da música que fez parte do grupo da Martha and the Vandellas?

Nascida a 2 de Setembro de 1943 em Detroit, bem cedo começou a cantar em coros.

A boa disposição e a sua voz inconfundível, foi parte muito importante neste estilo musical. Se ouvirem as 3 canções que eu escolhi para hoje, podem muito bem conhecer até as três!

A primeira delas sempre associei aos Rolling Stones, interessantemente, a versão original foi gravada em 1964 pelas Martha and the Vandellas, composta por William Stevenson, Marvin Gaye, and Ivy Jo Hunter.
