Hip-Hop from the bottom of the trunk!
Welcome to my #TTT #Three Tune Tuesday entry!
Driven by the influence that the hip-hop style had on Smile's artistic growth, with whom I shared one of his works in the Street Art Community (link 1, link 2), here are three songs that were played on the radio many, many times in the distant years of 1990-2000.
Although I'm very eclectic in the styles of music I listen to, and the bands in each style, Hip-Hop had a relevance in my playlists that I confess is no longer there now.
What memories do you have of this decade? Mesmerizing sounds, with strong beats, and excerpts taken from other artists. There was one in particular that struck me the most from this style. He sings in Portuguese and is still active today. His name is Gabriel o Pensador. Do you know him? I'll see if I can do an edition of Three Tune Tuesday with Gabriel and other Brazilian bands as the theme.
While I was writing this post, I left YouTube scrolling through the songs I'd chosen to inspire me... And guess what happened? I ended up spending over an hour listening to such old tracks, which bring back such good memories!
Muy buena interpretación felicidades
Gracias por tu comentário, @rikardonaranjo !
Old school! Feeling the double jump vibes! Followed by a classic Cypress Hill! Like it 👍
Good evening, @geneeverett! I'm so glad that you like my 3 hand picket Hip-Hop classics! Thank you for your appreciation and comment :)
