Blonds on the rise

Welcome to another musical Tuesday!

Today I wanted to select three songs that are more from "my time" and that certainly make me travel back in time, from the first chord... Good times, when I didn't have any worries, when I lived in my parents' house and just had to study, and it wasn't even that much of an effort... Watching television, and of course I couldn't miss one of my favorite shows on the second channel. At that time, there were only two television channels in Portugal (RTP1 and RTP2, SIC (the third channel) would only broadcast its first show in 1992!

So you can see how long I've had these songs in my memory. They all have in common that they are sung by female artists, and curiously blonde ones at that! And I don't even have a penchant for blondes... Behold! But of this little set, I confess that Blondie was the most fun of the three!

Do you still remember these songs? I'm starting to feel more and more distanced from today's hits, because honestly, it's not songs by artists who have made a name for themselves in the last 10 years that make my short list.

Of course, some of the people reading and listening to these songs today weren't even born... Ahahah
