Wrapping up the semester with music at SESC

Last Thursday, I took part in the Art and Culture Showcase at SESC, and it was such a great experience! The event brought together several musical performances, and I had the chance to perform in two different ways: solo and with the choir.

For my solo performance, I sang “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes. It was really special to me because it’s a song I’ve always loved, and it has such a powerful energy. Getting on stage alone definitely gave me butterflies, but in the end, it was an amazing feeling.

Then I came back on stage with the choir, and the vibe was totally different — lighter, more fun, and full of beautiful harmonies. We sang “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay, “Amarelo, Azul e Branco” by Anavitória, and “Velha Infância” by Tribalistas. The setlist was chosen to move and uplift the audience, and I think we managed to do just that.

The Showcase was a really meaningful moment for everyone who participated. It was so nice to see so many people involved with music, putting their talent, dedication, and emotions out there. For me, it was a chance to do what I love and share it with others who are just as passionate about art.

I hope there are more opportunities like this to come, because being on stage — whether solo or in a group — is always something that helps me grow and makes me feel alive. And with that, we wrapped up the semester on a high note. It was actually my first semester at SESC, too.

Na última quinta-feira, participei da Mostra de Arte e Cultura no SESC, e foi uma experiência super legal! O evento reuniu várias apresentações de música, e eu tive a chance de me apresentar de duas formas: sozinha e com o coral.

Na parte solo, cantei “What's Up”, da banda 4 Non Blondes. Foi bem especial pra mim, porque é uma música que sempre gostei muito e que tem uma energia marcante. Subir no palco sozinha dá aquele frio na barriga, mas no fim das contas foi uma sensação incrível.

Depois, voltei ao palco com o coral, e a vibe foi totalmente diferente — mais leve, divertida e cheia de vozes em harmonia. A gente cantou “Viva La Vida”, do Coldplay, “Amarelo, Azul e Branco”, da Anavitória, e “Velha Infância”, dos Tribalistas. O repertório foi escolhido pra emocionar e animar, e acho que conseguimos atingir esse objetivo.

A Mostra foi um momento muito importante pra todos nós que participamos. Foi legal ver tanta gente envolvida com música, colocando pra fora talento, dedicação e também muita emoção. Pra mim, foi uma oportunidade de fazer o que amo e ainda dividir isso com outras pessoas que também tem paixão pela arte.

Espero que venham outras apresentações como essa, porque estar no palco, seja sozinha ou com o grupo, é sempre uma experiência que me faz crescer e me sentir viva. E assim, encerramos o semestre com chave de ouro. Meu primeiro semestre no SESC, inclusive.
