Hello Hello✨
Labrinth
It is yet Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday, an initiative brought to us by @ablaze. With that it's time to share some special tunes with you:)
As you must have guessed, the artist I've picked for this week is Labrinth, a British singer, songwriter and record producer. Growing up, I was introduced to Labrinth and quite frankly I liked how soothing his voice was and still is.
Aside from his soulful vocals, Labrinth always appears calm and collected in his music videos(at least the ones I've seen), making it easier for viewers to concentrate on subtle messages. With that, I would like to introduce you to a few of his songs.
Jealous
YouTube
This is a ballad that speaks directly to the pain of loss and longing. The song's lyric conveys a sense of pain and jealousy towards someone who had moved on and found happiness without the speaker. Further research revealed that this song was inspired by the artist’s personal experiences.
As with many of Labrinth’s pieces, this song's emotional intensity is palpable and his vocals effortlessly raises this intensity by a notch or two.
Beneath Your Beautiful featuring Emeli Sandé
YouTube
This happens to be one of my favourites as it is nothing short of breathtaking. Starting from the poignant lyrics and the vulnerability portrayed by these lyrics to the magical vocals of the two artists involved, this song is just a masterpiece.
Let the Sunshine
YouTube
The third song on the list is Let the sunshine. This piece is an uplifting and soulful track that showcases Labrinth's emotional depth once again. This turned out to be more of a feel good song, a diversion from Labrinth's regular love ballads.
The song has catchy beats and inspiring lyrics that portray hope, joy and resilience. Although this isn't one of Labrinth's groundbreaking pieces, this song is perfect for brightening up a gloomy day.

Still Don't know My Name
YouTube
I recently discovered two shocking facts about this particular tune. First, it was sung by Labrinth and second, it has been around for three years. Initially, I suspected that a random artist came up with this song because I had never heard of it until it started trending on social media.
Many people know the chorus but not the verses and I was amongst the ‘many people’ a while back. Nonetheless, this is another very striking piece by Labrinth.
With that, I've come to the end of my music selections for the week. I hope you had fun listening.
