A Room Without A Roof.

Ever felt like a room without a roof?

Reminiscing about an experience eight years ago; I walked in on an older friend listening to the "happy" song and I wondered how sad she was. Why would you need a song to remind you to stay happy? I asked. All she said was "when you grow older, you'll understand". Of course I waved her response off and continued like nothing happened. That was the first time I heard the happy song and eight years later, I listen to it almost everyday. Why? Am I that sad?

Life without sadness, hassles and turbulence would be like spring without flowers. We are humans and once in a while, we all hit rock bottom. It is totally okay to hit rock bottom but your next move usually determines our future. Do you get comfortable at the rock bottom or you fight your way back to victory.

This week has been one very terrible week in my life but the fact that I somehow managed to stay afloat baffles me. During such times, I usually retreat into a corner and stay there for a very long time but this time I decided that there was no running or hiding. First it was the issue with my laptop, followed by the overwhelming stress from school somewhere along the line, food poisoning found its way to the unending list of torture and for days on end I was in so much pain. My heart ached and my tummy ached too.

With each passing day, I laid on my bed, wondering what the future had in store. These thinking sessions were always accompanied by the tune from the happy song. Keeping a positive mind in your lowest times is a really hard thing to do but I managed to.

This is one song that manages to get me moving even when I don't feel like it. The lyrics are really encouraging and the beats are so lively. I feel like Pharrell Williams has greatly contributed to humanity by just releasing this song. Imagine how many people jam to this song each day.

Here comes bad news talking this and that.
Give me all you got. Don't hold it back.
I should probably warn you I'd be just fine.

It wouldn't be so much of a surprise if my motivation to face turbulence head-on was coined from this paragraph. The point where you know that bad news is inevitable and you choose to accept your fate fully but still have it at the back of your mind that this too shall pass. If there is one thing I have learnt about life, it would be the fact that you cannot run away from your troubles. You may hide for months and even years, pretending like nothing bothers you but in the end, you will face it. So why? Why prolong the time spent in one bad phase of life when you could get it over and done with and continue the rest of your life in normalcy?

Think about it

The song "happy" does exactly what the name says to you. It gets even better if you start your day with this tune. Imagine pouring yourself a cup of coffee while listening to a song that would undoubtedly enliven your mood. The rest of your day would be pleasant.

The song reminds me that I'm not living in a fairytale and nobody would come to make me happy. Even if they do, that happiness would be short-lived. It reminds me of the fact that I owe it to myself to be happy–because I know what happiness means to me. Do you know what happiness means to you?

I like it when people derive happiness from the littlest and most insignificant things. It shows that these people have golden hearts. They are grateful for very minute things. Such people make me feel like humanity can still save itself from itself.

Remember this, that very little is needed to make a happy life." — Marcus Aurelius

Happiness is a state of mind, if we do not create our happiness we can never be happy and one must never make the mistake to tie your happiness around people or things for when they leave we become miserable.

This is a great song girl!

So sorry you had to go through tough phase, I hope you get out of it and stronger💪 Happiness is a choice really, it all depends on us whether to stay happy or to be sad but what is the need of been sad anyway, it won't solve any of our problems, right? So let's always be happy, I heard it is also good for our health too☺️
