This song is trying to project the power, the love of Christ. God sent His only begotu son to die for you and me because of your sin and me so that we are going to have freedom.

So it means all our troubles, all our present predicament is finished. Whenever we're having problems, we're having challenges, we should gaze our eyes on Jesus.
