The Tune Tune Train keeps rolling:

The Tune Tune Train is a challenge I came up with based on the Three Tunes Tuesday format. It´s a TTT with a riddle!

How doe it work?

I will give you three great songs and you can win a $1 Ecency boost if you tell me what connects the songs.
A connection can be: they are all about flowers, they have the same drummer, they all sing about Pink Mushrooms, or they are all kids from famous parents. Just to give an idea of what a connection might be.

It´s up to you Dear Reader to figure out what connects the Tune Tune Train. The first one that drops the solution in the comments gets a $1 boost on their next post!
Or you can just wait till I solve the riddle in next week's post.

And these were last week's songs:

This Mortal Coil - Song To The Siren
Ralph McTell - Streets of London
Sarah Vaughan - Black Coffee

Last Week's Clue Was:

  • What happens if you get too old for the club of 27, 37, 47?
And on Friday I told you: These songs were brought to you by a phoenix from a flame

We Have No Winner

I was sure you would figure out that all these songs were covered by a lady that sang; "Like a Phoenix from a Flame" that recently died before she made the Club of 57.
Yes, it was as easy as Nothing Compares To You and I was sure the Black Coffee was a dead giveaway.

Here we go again!

All Aboard!

The Tune Tune Train is Taking Off!
Are You Ready To Riddle?

Okay, so I needed to make it easy for you all, because it´s been two weeks and those riddles were not that hard. But I guess your brains are still on Holiday, well you gotta get out of that place as summer is almost gone.

The Animals - We Gotta Get Out Of This Place

Now this one is so cool, what the hell Snoop Jim.

Riders On The Storm - Snoop Dogg ft. The Doors

These guys are really one of my go-to bands when I need a dark cover. As if this song could get any darker, I mean black is black as night, right?

Hidden Citizens - Paint It Black

Here, Have A Clue

You don´t have to be as old as these songs to know them, but you do need to be quite ancient.

If you still have no clue, and nobody else does there will be another hint this Friday.

Let me know in the comments if you figure out what connects these three songs. If you need another hint, check out my Midnight Gems Session this Friday!

Because the First to get it right, gets a nice $1 Ecency Boost!

The connection and winner will be featured in next week's #TTT

I can't make heads or tails of the clue, so I know I am not going to get it. I know a lot of these songs were big during the Vietnam war era. I remember watching the TV show Tour of Duty with my dad and it had a fantastic soundtrack. Sadly, for the DVD release they couldn't get all of the rights and they basically stripped it bare. It was sad.

Ehh sir you got it, Title was On Tour. And we were a bit young for Vietnam but ancient enough to see them being part of Tour of Duty Two of them were on the soundtrack cd vol 1 https://www.discogs.com/es/release/719257-Various-Tour-Of-Duty

And paint it black was the leader, loved that show and that song!

Oh nice! That is crazy, the phrase "ancient" had me thinking I didn't have it. Yeah, I remember buying the DVD set and waiting for Paint it Black to come blaring out of my TV during the opening only for some public domain MUZAK crap to float out of my speakers. Devastating!

Devasting is too kind, those images and songs and Zeke Anderson are burned in my brain.

Such a good show. Too bad China Beach got all the hype that cycle because it had bigger stars in it. But common, who doesn't love Terence Knox!

Thanks, I do try, and very slowly it seems the train is getting some traction. Guess I just have to keep it rolling .
