Solve The Riddle & Win 250 Ecency Points [#TTT Week14] - "From Russia With Love"

glow (2).jpg

The Tune Tune Train keeps rolling:

The Tune Tune Train is a challenge I came up with based on the Three Tunes Tuesday format. It´s a TTT with a riddle!

How does it work?

I will give you three great songs and you can win a $1 Ecency boost if you tell me what connects the songs.
A connection can be: they are all about flowers, they have the same drummer, they all sing about Pink Mushrooms, or they are all kids from famous parents. Just to give an idea of what a connection might be.

It´s up to you Dear Reader to figure out what connects the Tune Tune Train. The first one who drops the solution in the comments gets a $1 boost Nope no more Ecency Boosts. Sorry y´all but #Ecency is no longer giving away those sweet $1 upvotes. Still big thanks to all of us that won them or gave them away.

So What Now?

Now I will have to give away even more Ecency points to the weekly winner as I plan to give a 250 Ecency points boost every week to the first one that sees the connection.

So If you win your next post will be promoted or you have to option to receive 250 Ecency points for you to spend how you like, boosting your content, my content, shit content, or saving up for any of the other Ecency Perks.

And of course, it´s about playing, and the honor of winning not the prices (uhu)

And these were last week's songs:

Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love
Marilyn Manson - You re So Vain
Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams

We Have No Winner

And I made it so easy two weeks ago I played three original songs, and the answer was they were all covered by Marilyn Manson.

Nobody got it, so I thought well lets play all three covers and then the connection would be these three songs are the answer to the previous riddle.

And nobody got it...again.
So I will do something totally different this week.

Here we go again!

The Tune Tune Train is Taking Off!
Are You Ready To Riddle?

This concert is my favorite live event, I played the CD till it was so scratched that I had to get an MP3 version.

CHRIS DE BURGH REVOLUTION-DUBLIN

Now if you don´t know these guys, your musical education was lacking....a lot.

Those were the days · Leningrad Cowboys

But no worries my musical education was lacking to because I only discovered this guy this week and he´sawesom

Joaquín Sabina, Mara Barros - Y Sin Embargo Te Quiero / Y Sin Embargo (Directo)

Here, Have A Clue

Its always the same place

If you still have no clue, and nobody else does there will be another hint this Friday.

Let me know in the comments if you figure out what connects these three songs. If you need another hint, check out my Midnight Gems Session this Friday!

The connection and winner will be featured in next week's #TTT

HEY! no fair :) I need the referee on this one. I did say MM and you reminded me it was for the last one. Since you already said that I never thought that would be the answer. All in good fun, but I am puffing up my cheeks and ready to go all Gojira mode here :)

You will not believe how much research I did into these three songs. I don't think tainted love is ever leaving my mindspace now :D

Well Tainted Love is an awesome song so it could be worse, but I thought it would be so obvious because of the same three songs twice.

James Bond comes to mind of course due to the title.
but none of the songs seem to be in it.
Next I checked for locations and James Bond movies do showcase Dublin, Helsinki, and Leningrad. But does not figure Buenos Aires :(

So the only thing I can think of is it needs to be around revolutions.

Both Ireland and Finland have had Easter Risings also called Easter Rebellion. As did Argentina who also had an Easter Rebellion. Russia the first revolution was Feb 1917 to April 1917 which would be in the Easter time again, thought I don't know if it was called that.

So I am going with Rebellions/Revolutions/Uprisings during Easter. :)

Damn I wish I had found that connection, but that is way too deep you were closer picking up on the James Bond hint. James Bond is not the answer, but ....... it has something in common with the three artists !PIZZA

I tried to read the comments to see if I was wasting my time, but I can't figure out if someone got it already or not :)

Nope, but the comment around James Bond had some add value

Hmm. Okay. Is it something to do with Cuba? There were a few Bond movies where he went to Cuba. They also had a revolution and a strong Russian influence.

YAAAAAASSSSS :)

@ablaze : untitled.gif

That was way fun. I think I will end up dating chatgpt answering your song riddles :D

and it was a very funny path which took me to Leningrad, atrociously funny cause we had a band that had Leningrad in their name.

So i went down that rabbithole which i went through earlier as i started searching for revolutions around the various geographical locations. Later i started digging into any connection between John Barry and the other artists. As part of this final check it finally gave me a snapshot of Chris De Burgs discography where I finally saw leningrad. After that it was a pleasant surprise to see Joaquin had sang leningrado too :)

Anyways that was loads of fun mate. Thank you ! And thanks for introducing Joaquin Sabina.

I am still impressed because lots of subtle hints but indeed not easy, and that was the case it took an awesome journey to get her!

I just found Joaquin Sabina myself and the Leningrad song which is really good I think I feature it this Friday in the setlist.
