How long did it take you to be able to speak some acceptable gringo Spanish, I feel so bad after 15 years in this country .... I can definitely get around but .....
Anyway I love the 13th, it allowed me to do a very special session, but that is beyond the point ...... thinking about playing some CDs later today because unlike my vinyl that has been thrown out as I did not take them Spain....I brought boxes filled with cds.

About six months I was doing okay, after a year it easy for me. I did the immersion method meaning I spoke relatively little English the whole time except when giving ski classes. There were Americans, Canadians, Europeans, etc on vacation that spoke English, that's why they were eager to hire me. Languages come easy to me though, everyone is different. How old were you when you moved to Spain?
That's why classic vinyl is so expensive, so much was thrown out. CDs were just easier. I still have a lot of both though I rarely use them anymore. My son will probably sell them for a fortune once I kick the bucket! lol
Your post made me play CDs this afternoon.
I was like 30 when I moved but no one around me spoke Spanish.
My ex wife being half Italian picked it up before I did and so I let her do the talking.
Guess I needed a divorce to at least get my basics in place.
Anyway I hope my Vinyl is still somewhere but if it was stored at my father in law......
Sorry to hear about the divorce.. That sucks... Been there twice! lol Immersion forces you to learn, so being single is probably a good thing! I should move to the south of France to work on my French and still be close to Barcelona! I hope that vinyl is still there, moving around has a bad habit of having things disappear. Hopefully it's still there to pick up.
