For those of you who are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.

Last week I did something a bit different. Playing all those 90s Gems but tonight I am back bring you nothing but the new shit. Tonight's show is 20 24 songs only baby! bit angry but this week I am in a great mood. Going back to one of the best times in my life.

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.

Has a synth mixed with NewWave vibe! I love the bass line! Night In Athens I mean. I sleepy so will give full listen tomorrow but my quick picks are these 4 are favorites. I love that Synth sound with those bass lines. Sounds almost familiar but I can’t place it. Where are they from? I’ll do a full dive soon but just was curious. They are only ones I think I heard of but can’t place it.

Thanks I love to present some new gems, the thing is that my taste too often is an eclectic cluster F and I do like to move through several sounds in a 9 song set. That´s why I post them on Friday so each weekend there are some new tunes to enjoy.

But I agree Night in Athens was an awesome little Gem they sound like so many others but not quite it´s really well done although I do get a strong Joy Division feel

Joy Division! One of my favorites of all Time! Those two records are pure gems! Plus some tracks left off both I’ve discovered. Just the best! I wish we got more. Died 2 young. As many have. New Order was cool but it wasn’t Joy Division.

Yeah those popped up due to the weather it´s getting hot down here and I am not one that loves the Latin poppy stuff or the overhyped reggeaton but I do get that summer vibe from the right kind of Latinas ehh Latin

OK bring me more of that latin stuff please :) I love that type of music but I never know where to find it. The way I discover these things is when I'm in the car, listen to the radio and if for once they play something I don't know yet and dig, I try to catch the title so I can look it up later and add to my playlist lol.

So send me more of that stuff when you have it :)

Like I wrote its freaking hard to get the good stuff because we don't know where to look I think, but its not radio or tv most of the time. But I will do a Latin special soon

Yeah that's the thing, and that's why we have to listen to the same stuff over and over again and it's getting a bit boring with 1,5 hour drives lol. We need new music for our next road trip! Make it happen please :)
