Midnight Gems - Your Free Mix-Tape Show - E 36 "Harley Made me Do It"

Last week was a lovely well-balanced session. I even got some cool feedback on that set. Which is awesome because that means I can make a mess of it this week.

Mars Agro, it sounds a little like Margo and she has the same disturbing but sexy look in those eyes as Harley Quinn does. But that would not matter at all if the song would suck, but it does not next to it sounding like a nice 00s indie song the melody in those vocals is just beyond.

You all know how I love to bring you the latest and greatest and I wanted to play this one a couple of weeks ago but Harley and Halloween got in the way so I shelved Amelie to release her today.

Why this song did not hit a 1000 views since I founded IDK but I am sure this will be picked up at some point. Just calling dips on finding it first.

Yes I know, you know.
I know you know that I am easily swept off my feet by a piano or a synth and the Chromatics have been featured before. Still, it's awesome music for a midnight trip if you ask me.

CHROMATICS "BLUE GIRL"

This next guy sounded so familiar, even the song reminded me of....damn I could hear it...feel it... I wanted to spit it out but they brain fog kept hiding what I was looking for. There was a song that sounded so similar but what song??

The original version of this song goes back to 2001 and then I found that he was also part of the team that did Die Flut Which is an other great song but not the one I was hearing.... I was hearing songs but what song?

Schiller - Dream Of You

Guess you know how I feel, guess you think about where this trip is going tonight, right? If you have a clue, which you might do Dear Reader then this next song is still in line.

But trust me I will not go down the beaten path all night.

Mary Jane - That Feeling (Effin & Blindin Remix)

Guess I have to say I told you so! Here comes a twist that will make your neck hurt.

I promise I did not add this song just for the vid, it actually has a great weird sound to it that grabbed me. Well that and....

And it made an awesome bridge to this next song of course, what did you think I was going on about. Now you must be going like wtf is he putting in my ear?

In all honesty, I don´t know, I guess Harley made me do it. But it is such a nice weird little song. It just got stuck in the set when I was editing and creating this playlist. I could not throw it out, it just had that X factor that I love to hear.

Now I don´t shy away from popular or commercial music, if it hits my X Spot I am happy and this next lady did so very well. Sweet little intro blowing out into a nice easy dance pump and all of that in 2.5 minutes.

Oh and did I mention I found the song I was looking for, the one that sounded like the Schiller song earlier on? And guess what same guy different band....yes that just might be used for a future riddle so if you made it all the way till here keep an eye out for my #TTT riddles the next couple of weeks.

Riddle Me This

Guess What, My Riddle did NOT get solved. Hence I will throw in an extra hint and if that does not help I might do a riddle me this special tomorrow because these were 3 awesome tunes.

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
