Last week I went so soft on you guys, it was almost cute. But fortunately, someone reminded me that I love songs that give others some Brain Pain.

So tonight well have a headache session and well that reminded me about this song from long long ago!

Frank Black - Headache

Before I got into Frank Black and Friends I listened to things like Seal and yes, Roxette. That album with The Look, and in all honesty I wish these guys would have covered that song....

Through Fire - Listen To Your Heart

So is that headache already coming or shall push the pedal down a bit harder on that metal. These guys make awesome melodic Now Metal with a touch of wave.

BAD OMENS - The Grey

Oh wow it keeps getting better, why did I not find these guys sooner they sound so much like The Birthday Massacre, pure Rock Wave; Like Birthday, and Massacre, Light, and Dark. Cute, and evil

Damn I fell so deep into this Youtube Loop I found more than I bargained for. I came across all kind of smaller bands with very interesting sounds, like these guys;

Empire Springs - Ascend

But I think I liked this Amira Elfeky thing even more although they have to work on their audio mixing as the volume is below par.

That audio is the one thing that Follow The Cipher has so covered, this song has it all. Synths, metal, a creepy voice, and a redheaded Siren singing.

Okay, I loved the guys from Bullets, probably the nicest band I ever had in my bar (not only because they invited me to a beer) when I saw they did it with Pendulum I was like this has to be good.

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
