It´s been getting hot in here....
So I took off my clothes...
But I am sure you did not come for that mental picture.

But with the temps above 40 Celsius, it´s feeling like a true Spanish Summer and so i let the Latin vibe lead me once again tonight and it took me to one of my first Latin discoveries ever. And they are still around!

I played her last week and she is back because I am just too impressed by this dutchie. I probably like this song even more, Its hard to believe that this sound comes from the country of cheese and wooden shoes, a country that has hardly any summer!

SEVDALIZA - ALIBI FT. PABLLO VITTAR & YSEULT

Yseelt jumped out in that previous song. So I looked her up, at least virtual and she has some great stuff, especially the French songs are tres gentile.... check her out she can fill a summer night by herself!

Not sure what I liked better the song or the video, but I think it fits perfectly on this lazy trip visiting a flamingo in a Cave in my backyard. And that vid, it just makes me wanna do illegal stuff.

Laberinto - Juan Son ft. Luis Humberto Navejas

It reminded me of one of those songs that helped me improve my Spanish when I finally tried to make some effort....yes I am Enamorada with Lolita voices!

If I play Manau Chao I always have a hard time not playing these guys for me those two just go together like Cuba and Rum, Viva el Cuba Libre.

From Cuba to Granada! Now I am not a big fan of that Gypsy flamingo sound they love so much round here....but hell yeah, this is made in my backyard and if you do it like this I give a big like.

What the fluff is Midnight Gems?

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
