Did you miss me?

Or should I ask; did you like the K Beat Squit Experience I served last week?

Remember the theme last week?
Need A Hint?

@Bozz was so kind to leave a comment, I love comments as it makes me use my brain sometimes.

Now I did not play any Babymetal, as I did so the previous week, but I could not let a good excuse as this slip, so here we have a bit more Baby Choco

These girls indeed seem to be the OGยดs but ...... they definitely are not!

untitled.gif

I did a bit of research and it seems that they all came to the scene 10-15 years ago.

Babymetal for some reason was the only one that got some global traction but they were definitely not the first.

Unlucky Morpheus started in 2008 and Yousei Teikoku is probably the oldest starting out late 90s.

ๅฆ–็ฒพๅธๅœ‹, Hepburn: Yลsei Teikoku and her "Fairy Empire" is a Japanese rock band formed in 1997. Their music mixes elements of gothic metal, heavy metal, electronic and classical music.

But back in the Nineties, they were a lot less Metal and a lot less Goth Lolita...

Well maybe still quite Lolita...

Oh Boy, Oh Noy, Oh Boy!

Yes, I am actually excited about this week's post. Because I am on my favorite topic again;

Isnยดt she Lovely

And it all started with Yลsei Teikoku and her gothic Lolita song.

Yลsei Teikoku - Gothic lolita agitator

I mean I did at least one Lolita playlist before, but just the artwork already makes me smile.

My Neon Goth Lolita Fanatsy

Does anyone remember how I love Goth Lolitas?

image.png

I did a whole Latin Lolita playlist a while back.

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/31i4p7VhqzVZQu8xm6b4ys?go=1&sp_cid=87ff871523ff7adc2bdda96805b2218a&utm_source=embed_player_p&utm_medium=desktop

But the Japanese are famous for making things better so I am definitely ready to dive into this Fairy Empire stuff and they took me to these Gothic Lolitas.

Now donยดt worry No Gothic Metal Will Be Played From Here Till The End Of The Post.

I made enough noise last week.

So how do I plan to do a Gothic Lolita-themed show without Goth metal, well fortunately J Pop is as sick in the head as I am and they love that Lolita style. But instead of guitars, they added violins.

Got To Admit Tha Goth And Classic Go Well Together

My search for Goth Lolitas led me to this band Japanese band with a German name.

Their excuse for the name is that the German word for โ€˜milkโ€™ in their name, Die Milch is because:

โ€œI think it sounds cute. And I like dairy products,โ€ says enigmatic singer and keyboardist Coco. โ€œMilk can become various sweets.โ€

Now I think that this might be a smart management trick as Germany was the cradle of Gothic music for many years. Anyway, take a look.

Die Milch - Rosaria

This is Max Fusion if you ask me

Coco being flanked by two expert violinists, immaculately dressed head-to-toe in Gothic and Lolita fashion, and making J-Pop with violins gets me into this groove.

Blending classical music with elements of rock, electronic, and the catchy melodies of J-Pop, in an amazing manner if someone would ever ask my opinion.

untitled.gif

...just saying.

I mean Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has nothing on this Milk. Except for 203 million more views.

Die Milch - ใ‚ใชใŸใฎใ„ใชใ„ไธ–็•Œ ~A world without you

Okay, great you found a Pop Goth Lolita, with a great taste in classical music.... well done you but that must be an unicorn. I mean who comes up with that stuff?

Hollow Mellow - ่ตคใ„้ด The Red Shoes

I did not know that the Red Dancing Shoes Fairytale was famous all over the world??? But I like it better than the Dutch version.

Although... I see a Lolita!!

Now good luck finding a next Lolita.

I never liked Barbies but this is different

That sounds, those looks they keep sucking me back in...the Alice Rabbit Hole!

YouseiTeikoku - Mischievous of Alice - ๅฆ–็ฒพๅธๅœ‹

Okay, that is as close to metal as I will go, I prefer mixing that Alice with a bit of Lolita, what do I get?

Probably my favorite song in this session, all is so well done, music, words, video, and classical stuff.

Kanon Wakeshima ~Lolitawork Libretto~ Storytelling by Solita

So we have, Lolita, when she is likely itยดs Solita....

And as we have Baby Metal, how would I call a Baby Lolita???

Lolitina!!

Aint she cute as ...ehh as Lolitina.

ใƒžใ‚จใƒ‘ใƒ„ใƒ’ใƒกใ‚ซ๏ผLolitina

Okay, sweet, cute, pink, fluffy, great but enough Baby Tunes I want back to that Violin and Cello overdose I was having.

Are there any more Japanese Violine Goth Lolitas out there?

How Did She String That Stick

That is more like it, a heavy violin, goth dress, and a dark setting, I feel at home already....

Rose Noire - Bones

I mean I love a violin!
Almost as much as a piano but a whole channel?

And there is more, but letยดs do it Lolita style!

Here we go violin overdose incoming.

TONERICO - Jill & Saori Hoshino

Okay admit it, how many of you guys have been thinking: Lindsey ???

Lindsey was late to the Goth Lolita Violin Party, but she delivered.

Lindsey Stirling - Prism

ENCORE

Just in case you thought it was all fake....

But it was a very interesting trip indeed

What Song to Send my Son

My son started a playlist Stuff For Dad and I will be adding my favorite song to my playlist for him: Songs For My Son!

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/12nIvKWCZjLmkCT3P7thTs

Every week I have to choose one song and tell you about it. And you Dear Reader tell me your favorite song in the comments and feel free to try to change my mind.

I am on such a roller but it was evident to me that Storytelling by Solita was bringing everything together in high Lolita fashion, so that is added to his list.

Please try and change my mind!

I've actually been listening to a lot of blues lately for some reason. I am not sure why. I added this playlist though and I will likely circle back to it later today.

I am really in my niche with all those violins and cellos but time to break out and go back to my roots soon I miss lyrics I actually understand.

Blues... maybe I should look at that for a bit just to get my mind out of the orientals

I don't think you can use the word orientals anymore. It has been cancelled. Blues has a lot of facets so there is a lot to dive into. Check out the Tinsley Ellis album Georgia Blue and see where Spotify takes you from there.
