This second story goes beyond time and place and mixes the long ago with the here and now. Because history keeps repeating, until we learn and do something about it.

Dear Reader, when everything seems to fall apart and all is out of your control, acceptance is the hardest part..

They shuffle the deck without asking every single time and you have to deal with the hand you got dealt.

Rules get changed, bent, and abandoned while there is nothing you can do.

Don´t even start to think that you are playing against them, that would be so overestimating your part.

We are specks of dust in the desert, on a planet, in the Milky Way, that is part of a galaxy that has not ended yet. We are so small that when the gods shuffle their feet they don´t crush us. They crush the whole solar system of which we are part of.

When I wake up I have the most terrible headache I've ever had. As best I can I make my way down the long stone steps towards the water. Water, cold water is the only remedy to shake this beast off me.

When I get upstairs I look at Sei's bare torso, who is looking at me with her hands on her hips. "What was that last night?"

Thinking is very difficult, "Last night," I ask sheepishly.

"Uh-huh, last night." I see a slight smile shine through and then something floats to the surface.

"Oh that, did I do that?"

"You did more last night than you ever did before. What did you do with my old man?"

I laugh sheepishly, but stop immediately because laughing hurts.
With my eyes closed, I try to remember the night as best I can. "Your old man is completely here, as you can see. A bundle of misery after a heavy night, that's me."

Sei looks at me with a wistful look. "Okay, I think it was the combination of wine and how you glow when you're close to Numico. It's like flames are coming out of you, you shine so brightly, I can't give you that. So, well, maybe I thought I could make it up to you a little bit."

Sei bursts out laughing, "You should try to make things up to me more often, you old fool. I don't know whether I should explain this to you now or let you believe it because that actually worked out really well."

I try not to laugh when I look into her naughty eyes. She's still a girl sometimes, even though she's old enough to have 5 children by now.

She sits down next to me and puts her hand on my aching head, and I feel the pain lessen.

"Numico is like me, when we come together we strengthen each other, that's what you see. And what you make of that with your ego and male brain, that's up to you and you can do more often. Although I think you're right. I don't understand why you saw it earlier, but you're right."

I stare ahead and whisper "I know."

"Numico knew too, knowing too much really does make a mess of things."

Sei pulls the blanket off me "Time for a bit of freshness you musty old man."

She's right the cold water makes the last bit of wine disappear and even though I don't feel top fit, I at least feel like myself again.

"It's about time," I hear.
"It's getting worse with you too, isn't it?" I answer in my head, sometimes she scares me a little. As if I'm not safe anywhere anymore. Now I know it's my own fault, I wasn't paying attention.

"Sorry it happened automatically, I wasn't even looking for you. I was just thinking about you and how cute you actually are, in your own way of course."

This gave me hope because I still thought it was a ridiculous idea that Sei would be able to reach me when I'm in that world without hope. Me but a different me? Then we really have to build a very strong bond in this life, and if this is the last time Numico then I don't know if there will be time for that.

I hoist myself onto my stone and close my doors, it is time to just empty everything. I listen to the wind, and the water. I let myself be carried away by their current.

Light and empty I float, I am not here nor there I realize. I no longer feel my body, but my mind also seems to have no hold. But I do not want to return.

I let go and on wings of trust I float between the worlds and I realize how human my worries are. How insignificant I am, that I have already been allowed to receive so much more and still want more. Want to finish things, or round them off so that I can have a new goal again.

I laugh at myself and realize that I can only find peace in acquiescence.
