Beyond The Looking Glass is the second book in the Unseen series, a story that came to me from the other side. A story where I thought I was just the narrator until I heard the Words of the Unseen.

This second story goes beyond time and place and mixes the long ago with the here and now. Because history keeps repeating, until we learn and do something about it.

Beyond The Looking Glass - Words of the Unseen - Chapter 129

Dear Reader, since birth, you are told so many things, but be aware that you have not been told a lot more.

Among what you have been told and taught might be some untruths.

Not because those who told you meant to be misguiding you, but because they and those before them have been misguided themselves.

Believing is easy, why would you think twice about anything that sounds plausible and comes from a trusted source?

But what if that misguidance started from the source, from day one? What if we have been misguided since The Origin?

Truth is like beauty, it lies in the eyes of the beholder, and there is no absolute.

Imagine Martio describing a place he does not fully understand.
Donยดt look at Eden as the Biblical Garden we are all supposed to be familiar with.

Look at her as a place of origin, the place of birth, the place where the leap in consciousness was engineered.

Think about modern times, what do we do if we want to study a certain effect? We try to recreate a seemingly natural environment to make our guinea pigs feel at home.

While at the same time ensuring our experiment will not get contaminated.

Eden, not as a paradise gifted to humanity, but as a sealed habitat, a divinely engineered test chamber designed to monitor the effects of a radical upgrade in human consciousness.

Eden, a biosphere, secure, self-contained, and purpose-built to test the emergence of free will, moral awareness, and a cognitive identity.

What happens when a human sentient is slowly upgraded to start mirroring the image of their maker?
When they gain the capacity to choose, reflect, improve, and rebel?

Adam and Eve werenโ€™t the first humans; they were subjects of a grand, metaphysical trial.

Could innocence survive knowledge?
What happens to purity if the mind can play tricks on you? When you can choose to help yourself or those surrounding you.

The Garden was made to reveal, and the trees, instruments of those who controlled the experiment.

The First Tree stood at the Center of this biodome, pulsing with the rhythm of the stars.

The Tree of Life, whose fruit gave breath unending. Because the controllers had discovered how to extend the lifespan almost indefinitely.

The Axis Mundi, the tether to source. But none were permitted to taste of it.
Not yet, for its fruit would seal the subject in untested form.

The Third Tree was hidden in plain scent: the Tree of Spices, filling Eden with fragrances of cinnamon, frankincense, balsam.

Stilling the pulse of fear, masking the edges of doubt. Its oils lulled the Newborns into peace, so that the first questions might come slowly, like dew upon the mind.

The Fourth Tree bent low, its branches weeping. This was the Tree of Mercy, planted not by command but by compassion, that judgment would not consume the experiment.

It poured out the sweetness into the soil after the rupture, so the cast-out would not lose the memory of tenderness.

The Fifth Tree was not planted, but arose as an echo. The Tree of Death. Created to counteract that other tree.

Because when the Knowing Tree was bitten, a negative bloom would leave its branches and nestle itself in the knowing.
It was the cost of the choice, knowing would make flesh rot slowly, causing transience to ensure the experiment could be controlled.

The **Sixth Tree **hovered near the veil between realms.
It was the Tree of Souls, it stood in Eden, but its fruit was unseen by flesh.

From this tree, the souls are said to fall into bodies at birth.

When its branches are empty and no new souls descend, then, and only then, the experiment will end.

Innocence wandered in this garden, a place created to slowly increase the consciousness and feed the right amount of fruit at the right time, to grow the ideal tool.

They were given a tiny bit of that tree of life, and over time, the dose would slowly dissolve. Which might explain why the earliest of ancestors lived seemingly never-ending lives.

A well-trained tool should not have an increased lifespan, as it would take years to train, so a long-term benefit was expected.

The Mercy tree fueled the earth with just enough compassion to not let the test subjects become careless and destroy one another.

All was perfectly planned until the snake arrived.

All trees carried forbidden fruit, as they were the tools to enhance and balance the human consciousness, creating the ideal string of DNA and a lineage of helping hands that would last for a seeming eternity.

Let's be polite and give these guinea pigs names. I vote for Adam & Eve, as that sounds refreshing.

Refreshing, this is.
If we link the idea of โ€‹โ€‹a maternity ward for adults, where incubation could take place undisturbed, to some lesser-known texts, a very disturbing image emerges.
