Beyond The Looking Glass is the second book in the Unseen series, a story that came to me from the other side. A story where I thought I was just the narrator until I heard the Words of the Unseen.
This second story goes beyond time and place and mixes the long ago with the here and now. Because history keeps repeating, until we learn and do something about it.
Beyond The Looking Glass - Words of the Unseen - Chapter 11
I wake up to a woman's voice "Stella! Stella!"
When I come downstairs dressed, Kosa's eyes look at me somewhat gloomy. "You win some,,,,," he says slightly melancholy as his wife walks into the yard behind me.
"I especially feel bad for her, she finally had a daughter of sorts, but we actually knew this day would come, or at least I did he sighs."
"Stella's gone," I ask, still not quite sure what's going on.
Kosa looks at his wife outside and nods slowly.
"Strange," I didn't mean to say that. But I didn't expect this. Whenever I saw her, the girl always had that look that would not let me.
I expected to hear her talk to me before I left as if I expected a message from her. But not this, I decide to postpone my departure for a day, it would be too much if I would be going in the same day.
The old man knows what I'm thinking, "You can go, boy, we'll still be fine." My mind is already made up to stay another day, after all, I'm in no hurry and who knows, Stella might come back.
The next morning the stable is still empty, I have saddled my horse and walk towards the veranda- There is this strange emptiness. That silent Stella was more part of the whole than I thought: I feel bad that I have to leave as well, but life does not throw these curveballs for no reason.
Kosa puts his arm around my shoulder, and I only now notice that the man feels more fragile than the last time we were here... not by much, but definitely more fragile.
My saddlebags are filled with food, more food than I could probably eat on my own, but I have to take it all, I have no choice, you just do not say know to this woman or her food.
I pass the village where I met Kosa and left Lilith and only now I realize how close to home I already am.
How far away my friends are.
How quickly I travel on horseback compared to my journey by foot.
Would I ever return to that city?
I smile as the voices in my head fall silent, and what am I supposed to do at home?
Somehow I know the answer to that last question, I will never lose the words of Master Oniko. I have to fill his sandals, and it's that simple. The village needs someone who lives between heaven and earth, the question that remains for me is whether I can still be that person.
When dusk falls and I have just decided to look for a place to spend the night, there is a shadow in the distance.
It must be a small woman, in a big hurry from what I see. But there is nothing here, no village, no settlement and soon the earth will be dark.
I spur my horse, not too much, I don't want to scare the person, but I am burning with curiosity. Who is still on their way at this time and where to? This road eventually leads to the forest, as far as I know, but on the previous trip, we encountered very few people here.
When I approach the woman, I am now certain that it is a woman, I recognize her silhouette. Well, I think I do but itยดs impossible.
Yet it is true, when I get within a few meters I know it for sure. It's Stella, but how? How did she cover this distance on foot? I quickly calculate that she would have had to walk almost all of last night.
She must have heard the hooves a long time ago, but not once did she even move to turn around. I know she doesn't speak, but she was certainly not deaf.
Only when I slow down next to her she looks up, "You're late."
I feel like I've been bitten by the gods, what the hell is this?
I lower myself from my saddle, take the horse by the reins, and catch up with her once again.
"You're talking," it comes out dumbfounded.
โOf course, I talk, and you talk too much,โ the words sound less rude than their meaning.
I walk next to her in silence, thinking that if I talk too much, maybe I should keep quiet for a while.
The silence is hard for me, but I persevere and keep walking. It is now dark, but I don't want to stop for the night without consultation.
Why am I doing what this very young woman wants anyway?
Why don't I just stop?
This doesn't make any sense.
I plan to look for a sheltered spot for the night as soon as we pass the next bend.
Before we even reach the bend, Stella walks into the tall grass.
I follow.
When we are further from the road than I thought necessary, she stops.

History is increasingly conscious than Humans. And the memory of a civilization is stronger than the contemporary societies.
