π»πππππ π»π πΉπππππππ π»ππ 90π - Terrible Things From the Β΄90s
Thank God ItΒ΄s #NinetiesFriday!
Last week I told you what a terrible basketcase I was back in the Β΄90s:
I shared my most embarrassing moments with yΒ΄all and you know what.... looking back they actually look like I had a great time back then. And I know it's hard to believe but still, I ended up having a normal job, and a quiet life...not saying normal but itΒ΄s been pretty quiet these last couple of years.
I guess I had all the craziness in the first 40 years, and that is how it is supposed to be...taking a 10-year break from crazy and then another insane 20 years sounds good to me.
But that is for another post. So what's next now that I am done with my terrible nineties memories? Right, let's do some terror '90s things you and I both had to go through.
Things I Do Not Miss Abou The Nineties
Scratched CDs
Those great silver discs, expensive as F and drop them once scratch them twice. But lucky us we had a million tricks to fix scratched CDs:
Or just go Bananas on them:
Cassette tapes getting tangled up
Lots to do with music those 90s things I do not miss, remember this one.
It took lots of this to fix it:
And yes there has been some discussion on the pencil ...that is because you should use a BIC Pen
However in some situations....everything just fails.
Loading a copied game from a floppy
Thank Goodness for Plug and Play:
I had this friend, and he gave me a box filled with copied floppy games. Now it was already a lot of work to get that game running, and with those copies.... you never knew what you gonna get. Sometimes the game I played yesterday would fail tomorrow.
Recording on VHS
Waiting the whole week to watch the Start Trek Next Gen latest episode on Saturday only to find out that my mom used my VHS cassette for recording The Bold and the Pitiful over it. Worst part was she started her recording halfway through my episode, well done Mom.
Analogue Cameras
Those things sucked!!! Finding the right film, loading the film, and then the price do develop those often failed pictures.
Last but not least boy bands...the absolute worst thing about the nineties was boy bands.
Most Terrible Tunes From The Nineties
And talking boybands, I swear the worst of the worst was this one because you shouldnΒ΄t be swearing.
All-4-One - I Swear
But at least Boybands had at least one cool guy, unlike this total pop-fart cliche puking out typical 90s trash lyrics with a canned melody that someone came up with while taking a diarrhea dump.
Tommy Page -I'll Be Your Everything"
But it gets worse:
Billy did one thing right but it was not Achcy Breaky Heart. Not only was the song a success at parties for the elderly and the hearing impaired but the worst part was that it made line dancing a thing....internationally!
I loved this next song back then, and maybe I still do but itΒ΄s number two for a good reason:
Barbie Girl is a wonderful song, because if you ever get a song stuck in your head and you want to get rid of play it.
Sing along and the song that was bothering you will magically disappear.
Disclaimer: you now have another song stuck in your head for the rest of your life.
Can It Get Any Worse
It can, but it was hard to end up with a number one, I wanted to make that Postman song a running gag, but it just was not bad enough to get the honor of bein number one, that song just needs to be forgotten.
How bad is it when you are a puppet that imitates a singer? That is pathetic right;
Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know It's True
But is that the worst?
Or does that title go to;
Glenn Medeiros and Bobby Brown - she ain't worth it
Now I hate the fake fabs, and I hate myself for buying "Nothing is Gonna Change My Love for You" back in the Β΄80s and that Whitney wife-beating Bobby bastard so I will leave it up to you to tell me in the comments who deserves to be the worst song of the Nineties.
Ending It On A Positive Note
The 90s sure had its darksides but one of the absolute best things back then was:
That Vegans, Low fatties, and my favs the Lactose and gluten-intolerant people were not invented yet. You had your occasional vegetarian but well those you could please with eggs and cheese.
Thank goodness you made it till the end Pees, Love and I am out of here!

WTF do I do on #NinetiesFriday?
Well, don't do what I do because I just stole the below as it is good enough for copy/pasta!
But some ideas are music, movies, television, sports, or really anything Nineties related.
I assume movie, tv, or music topic reviews or talk will be most common, but you could also talk about a sports memory or something else.
Think the Pop Culture of the times, but it would be great to hear about little known and interesting bands or entertainment items. Donβt forget to use tag #NinetiesFriday
@geneeverett will give 3 basic income units to a winning random post every week that uses the #NinetiesFriday tag. Also @thebighigg has jumped in to match for 6 total weekly prizes! If anyone else wants to sponsor with 1 unit let me know or just send if you donβt wanna commit to weekly π

Everything was analogue back then, I don't miss tapes at all. I do miss refreshers and drumstick sweets though! Boy bands are probably one of the worst things from the 90s along with the spice girls.

Glad I am not the only one that hates boybands more than analog cameras. Thanks for the Pick !PIZZA

Tangled tapes were the absolute worst!

The worst.... even the terrible things seem cool looking back nostalgia at its purest!
Indeed xD
90's were the greatest and beauties decade of all times! Man, I really love this kind of post
I did a couple of these posts and the more I remember the better those days seem to have been.... that is what Nostalgia does to the brain...or were het really the best days of our lives?
I think we actually miss is how we used to feel back in those days... We're kind addicted to nostalgia, no matter the age or decade. π«Άπ»
Ha! Had a good laugh on the scratched cds, and the copied floppy discs.
A bad copy made us game for three days in a row in vain
the final scene got stuck and we never solved the last task.
But the 90s were also my 20s and I loved the vibe, also some of my fav movies were made back then.
We have a clubbing series inmy town called βWorst of the Ninetiesβ - imagine the worst bit with loads of laughter.
I love the worst, because even the worst feels so good nowadays!
Always love me some Green Day & some floppy discs π€£πΈ
And i remember those cassette tapes unwinding! Oh man the memories!
