π»πππππ π»π πΉπππππππ π»ππ 90π - I Have Prove That The 90s Are Back
Thank God itΒ΄s #NinetiesFriday!
What a week this has been.
Could I have imagined Bitcoin reaching 100K back then...
Magical Internet Money
If you had told me about MIM I would have said:"Dude I love Eminem!"
But even though I loved that Vanilla Ice follow-up I liked it even louder back in the day.
If there is one thing I remember about my Nineties is that I liked it loud. But from Marshall Mathers to Marshall Masters is only a couple of letters.
I Like It Loud
I grew up on Kuschel Rock in the eighties and early Nineties, all those lovely whiney smoochy tunes by bands that did much tougher stuff but got famous by ball-less ballads.
Really this was what I loved to hear:
And there are some crazy good tunes on there, and I still know every single word to every single song on those discs.
Ball-Less Balads
I mean take Extreme?
The biggest take me to an early grave tune right?
While they did Get the funk out, or my personal favorite:
Btw they are back....sort off----
Damn, I hate to see these guys so old....because that means that little old me looks like that as well...and I am still 27 ...in my mind.
Although Nuno still looks kinda cool...right?
Or G&R with patience????
Yes, they had the biggest balls in the eighties, but still, they did Coma in the Nineties and that is an Epic Masterpiece.
It kinda feels sometimes that there is always a gap in taste, the #TRUE90sKid generation loved it loud.
Grunge, New Metal, Nu Metal, and Happy Hardcore and then the music scene get so shocked that they go silent and all PC for another 20 years or so.
I mean did we have a song as loud as Killing in the name of reaching #1 in the last 20 years?
No, we did not, because since those Β΄00s everyone did what they told you.
Can We Bring Back The 90s?
On the bright side eras are like fashion they always come back in style....even those VINTAGE BUTTON FLY KNEE FRAYED HIGH WAIST FLARE JEANS.
But I will stick with the good old set of jeans, the only change is.... it's no longer a Levis 501. That was my go-to model in the Nineties.
A couple of years ago I got a gift card from the office thanking me for 10 years of service. And I was like well if I need to spend that at that shop I better get something useful and expensive.
So little happy me thought about how he liked those 501s and how they lasted.
They Do Not Make Them Like They Used To
I am no expert, but from the fabric to the fit they did not feel anything like I thought they would. It might be me, my memory is starting to fade...hence this series in which I try to jumpstart my '90s memories.
But seriously I was so disappointed, not about the fact I was a size up. But the fit and the feel just did not match my memories.
In the end I bought another pair of jeans on sale that I thought looked nice but after a year or two they ended up on the bottom of the pile as I found a place where they sell jeans that make me feel like Hell Yeah.
I mean back to the music with those guys I know some of us did a whole Beasty Boys tribute recently. But these Bloodhound Guys are my besties.
Even before they set that roof on fire ...they told me to use my fingers and gave this very valuable life lesson.
And they were so ahead of their time being all-inclusive:
I know Loud & Proud nowadays applies to screaming wokies.
I keep getting distracted, but I guess that the point I am trying to make and this might make some people angry is that......
The Nineties Are Coming Back Baby
I know some of you want to scream in the woods right now...
But believe it or not, they are coming.
ItΒ΄s the little things that tell you that they are like itΒ΄s finally becoming acceptable to laugh about having 47 Genders, or anything more than two basically.
It seems like even the Kids In America are starting to see the insanity.
They are trying to return to the last era when the world made sense.
I would not make such a bold statement if I did not have any proof.... so here we go.
Me trying to prove that the 90s are back baby
And I will not use the fashion funny again because that is so 2023.
I will use our own sweet snowflake Gen Z to prove me a point and drive this home in the best way I know how...Music Maestro Please!
Okay so the most Iconic Loud & Proud moment must have been seeing Smell Like Teen Spirit reach #1
No, we do not have to argue about this maybe not being the best Nirvana song, remember, I know it's hard after all the weed, but I am trying to make a point still.
This is what the Snowflakes are doing now!
Yes, that song definitely smells like the 90s right?
And there is more!
These guys kicked off a whole new genre in the 90s
And look what I found!
I just found Kids of the KoΠ―n!
Is This Too Far Fetched?
And if that is not enough we had this we had this rock chick singing about her Sk8er Boi.
Now what would Gen Z do with that exquisite taste that Avril poured out over us?
Gen Z did the feminist thing and turned themself in a Sk8ter Goirl
Maybe one that last one I overdid it.... a little but the feel is back!
There might still be hope!
Now Please Take It One Step Further!
Bring The Real 90s Back & Give The Dutch Back Their Black Pete!
Before you even think of it, we did not cancel people in the Nineties!
I don't care how black they make him...
Since the late 90s, the world tried to tell the Dutch that their tradition was unacceptable! And as Yesterday was Sinterklaas his Party and today itΒ΄s his BDay I want to express a bit of hope...
Because I think we all agree that we have seen enough rainbows and unicorns these last two decades.
And the idea of having a rainbow Pete that originated in the late nineties failed epically just watch:
Looks good, but what happens if you start mixing that many colors????
Epic Fail or Not?
#NinetiesFriday was brought to you by My Sinterklaas Rant
WTF do I do on #NinetiesFriday?
Well, don't do what I do because that would be copy/pasta!
But some ideas are music, movies, television, sports, or really anything Nineties related.
I assume movie, TV, or music topic reviews or talk will be most common, but you could also talk about a sports memory or something else.
Thank Goodness you made it till the end Pees, Love and I am out of here!

You know who I miss... Nelson. They were the best! The Extreme clips made me think of them.
Nelson, omg there is a ghost from the past.
I came across that new extreme song last week and was very surprised how they were still making music after all these years.
I'll have to give it a deep listen again at a later time. I just remember that the majority of their stuff wasn't as radio friendly as the pop hits that everyone associates with them.
The Extreme guys have actually aged well. They look a little older but not 30+ years older.
I loved 95% of Guns N Roses songs. They were my absolute favorite band back in the day.
Nuno aged well but I still feel so old seeing those guys nowadays, but they aged better than most GnR guys !LOLZ

Nice post, yeah definitely remember those smoochy ballads like Kenny G, and used to be a fan of American Top 40 and get those NOW (that's what I called music) compilation CD to discover what was out there.
Funny comment about the woke and gender studies debate. But yeah, back in the 90s and even 80s there was that gender weirdness like RuPaul, and that bald guy with make up claiming he being so sexy.
