Three Tune Tuesday - Traveling through time

Dear music lovers, the summer is slowly coming to an end and soon veils of mist will cover the land. For me there is something mystical and melancholic about the mist floating over the rivers and fields.
I have chosen three songs for you that fit this mood well.
I would like to take you back to the time of minstrelsy, Irish folk songs and Swedish fairy tales.

Liebe Musikliebhaber, der Sommer neigt sich langsam seinem Ende entgegen und schon bald werden sich Nebelschleier über das Land legen. Für mich hat es etwas Mystisches und auch Melancholisches, wenn die Nebel über Flüsse und Felder schweben.
Ich habe drei Lieder für euch ausgesucht, die gut zu dieser Stimmung passen.
Ich möchte euch in die Zeit des Minnegesangs, der irischen Volkslieder und der schwedischen Märchen entführen.

I would like to start with an English folk song whose author is unknown and which dates back to the Middle Ages. Timelessly beautiful for me, even Simon √ Garfunkel sang this song on their concert tours.

Beginnen möchte ich mit einem englischen Volkslied, dessen Autor unbekannt ist und das in die Zeit des Mittelalters datiert wird. Für mich zeitlos schön, selbst Simon √ Garfunkel sangen dieses Lied auf ihren Konzerttourneen.

Our journey now takes us to Ireland and we hear another folk song, sung by Niamh Farrell & Linda Nic Leòid. The two singers perfectly reflect the melancholic thought of the song. A song full of love and longing, sung in Gaelic.

Unsere Reise führt uns nun nach Irland und wir hören ein weiteres Volkslied, gesungen von Niamh Farrell & Linda Nic Leòid. Die beiden Sängerinnen geben den melancholischen Gedanken des Liedes perfekt wieder. Ein Lied voller Liebe und Sehnsucht, gesungen auf Gälisch.

The end of our journey is Sweden, and here is a lyric penned by Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren. The song became famous when one of her books was made into a movie. Here it is performed by Jonna Jinton, who interprets the song in her own way.

Den Abschluss unserer Reise bildet Schweden und hier ein Text aus der Feder der schwedischen Kinderbuchautorin Astrid Lindgren. Das Lied wurde durch die Verfilmung eines ihrer Bücher bekannt. Hier dargebracht von Jonna Jinton, die das Lied auf ihre eigene Weise interpretiert.
