For the first time - all the performers have caught my attention.

Tremonti - I find the order of the title to be very remarkable. I'm going to have to think about it for a little while longer. About the music? Ever since 'Disturbed' I have not been able to digest this kind of thing very well. It's a bit of a problem for my stomach.

The Smile - After listening to one song I realise that I haven't written down the name of the band or the title of the album yet. Not really a good sign, I think.

Cindy Lee - Could it be that the lady's visit to Dracula was not only a loss of blood, but also a loss of a few chords? They would really be a help to the composition.

Mad Marge - When I saw the video for the first time, I was afraid that Madonna had made good on her threat to reincarnate herself. Luckily this was not the case. At least this one has a singing voice.

Dal:um - Please remind me to give John McLaughlin, Trilok Gurtu and Herbie Hancock a ring next week. They should get together with these two ladies as a matter of urgency and record the 'album of the year'. Brilliantly good stuff!

Tindersticks - They tell the story of what I have been most of the time in my professional life. A foreigner in a strange land. Only I have never had such a sad feeling in my heart.

Memorials - Record companies seem to be particularly talented at creating words or terms that automatically make you wonder what the hell is going on? Surrealist pop music? This is just shallow pop with some electronic crap thrown in. This is surreal in the truest sense.

Dream Theater - These guys are impressive proof that there is another way - nay, a better way - to do it. In complete contrast to Tremonti, they are a demonstration of how good loud music can be.

Musical tastes vary and are generally not up for debate, but this was worth mentioning out of the 100 new songs I've heard. It's still going around in my head until next time when there's something new again. 😜
