Simplified Guide on My Experience and Investments in @risingstargame Music NFT

One of the amazing features of @risingstargame is the Music NFT sales, which are a rare thing among NFT markets. Most of the users involved in cryptosphere has the wrong notion that NFTs are some images. It is best to think of NFTs at certificates of ownership. Cash is fungible. If I exchange my $100 bill with your $100 bill, there will be no difference. If I exchange my land deed with yours, there will be a difference. In other words, land deeds are Non Fungible.

An NFT is a Tokenized version of the same idea. The "Token" could even be used as an alternative to a physical certificate. @risingstargame has one of the oldest Music NFT markets in the world. This is all built on HIVE where investors don't have to worry about things such as fees.

Record Staking; A Gamified Way to Earn

I have been a fan of Record Staking feature from the begining. At that time I was collecting STARBITS for STARBITS Millionaire Card (which has been one of the best decisions I have made in the game) and I was making extra income on the STARBITS that was sitting idle on my wallet.

Occasionally I come across a sold out NFT that I had been staking. I unstaked for another NFT after a long time. I don't like to unstake when I own a large percentage of a pool for the amount of STARBITS I have staked. Older NFTs may have slower sales, but they also have less STARBITS staked making it possible to earn more. If you don't plan to sell your STARBITS soon, Record Staking is something you must try out.

My Investment in @stickupboys

Although I prefer NFTs that have gameplay utility or some VIP access, I have tried out purchasing few regular NFTs. Spending 100,000 STARBITS on "Be Like You" was the biggest of such investments.

I have the 4 minute 44 second song downloaded and I enjoy listing to it. I can consider that a use case. It is like a limited edition record in a digital form.

Price on The Market

When reading further, keep in mind that these are not liquid markets. It could take weeks or even longer to make a sale. The non fungible nature does bring value; but also create many inconveniences.

I checked out few other Music NFTs on @risingstargame that had been sold out. They all had somewhat similar prices. This current price of 100,000 STARBITS is very cheap. The price has been falling for a long time. We may not see a strong reversal until we are in a bull market or the game itself receive strong attention (that it deserve).

Conclusion

If you primary goal is to make money, investing in Music NFT is not something I would recommend. Personal enjoyment, exploration of new technology and financial speculation are the best reasons to invest in NFTs. If that sounds like a thing that has a place in your portfolio, I can strongly recommend looking into @risingstargame

The project has been around for longer than 3 years and it has been growing in features. The team has been through two bear markets. Vast majority of cryptocurrency and NFT projects fail to meet this standard.
