What is Bandcamp? (digital store for music)
Bandcamp ist ein amerikanischer Online-Shop für Songs. Anders als Spotify ist es kein Abo-Modell, sondern man kauft bei Bandcamp einzelne Songs und Alben, meistens direkt von den Künstlern. Die Bands werden damit direkt unterstützt.
Es ist also kein Abo-Modell, sondern man kauft Songs, die man entweder online beliebig streamen oder in hoher Qualität downloaden kann.
Ein Song kostet meistens so 1-2 Euro, ein Album 5-10 Euro.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Kanntet ihr Bandcamp bereits? Habt ihr schon mal einen Song online gekauft?

Bandcamp is an U.S.-based online store for music. Unlike Spotify, it is not a subscription model, but you buy individual songs and albums from Bandcamp, mostly directly from the artists. The bands are thus supported directly.
So it's not a subscription model, but you buy songs that you can either stream or download in high quality.
A song usually costs 1-2 dollar, an album 5-10 dollar.

Never heard of it until now, I'll have to take a look.
I had not heard of this store but I am a classic and I prefer the physical material to buy.
That makes a lot of sense but the problem may be how to sell your songs

Hatte vor Jahren mal ein paar Songs von mir dort hochgeladen, aber gratis mit der Option einer freiwilligen Spende und hab da dann tatsächlich so 10-15€ damit verdient :D
Ist nicht viel, aber wenn man bedenkt wie viel Streams man für dieselbe Summe auf Spotify machen müsste bin ich mehr als zufrieden

If I can choose, I'd rather pay later than up front. I didn't know that company.
I have heard about Bandcamp but I have heard some unsettling things about it. It looks like they have removed songs by people and left no recourse for people. The people who purchased the song can't access it anymore.
unfortunately that can happen on streaming platforms, but at Bandcamp you can download the music to your own computer.

Bandcamp ist eigentlich ziemlich gut. Es ist der Ort, wo ich am meisten Musik kaufe.
Wichtig ist, dass man immer alles runter lädt, weil man den Zugang verlieren kann, wenn die Musik vom Künstler oder Bandcamp gelöscht wird. Dies war z.B. der Fall bei Der Blutharsch & The Infinite Church of the Leading Hand. Hatte ich zum Glück alles auf meinem Computer gespeichert. 😅
