Tal Ezra trio - young Stoner band photographed on film.

I met Tal one of the hot summers Friday around 20:00 when he was on the way to the next performance with his new band. We haven't seen each other for several months, so i missed the fact that he organised another band, right now performing without specific name. He invited me to the local Art gallery exhibition opening, where they planned to play in the end of the oficial part of the event and after a few classical musicians, playing during the event.

Sure, i was surprised and curious to hear them performing life, whatever place and the crowd. They played the old school heavy blues, ornamented as the Stoner rock - not too fast, and not too slow, heavy like the hot air in the hot desert, sometimes viscous like the honey, stored in fridge.

I was equipped the only point and shoot film camera, which i always have with me, since my digital point and shoot Ricoh GRii completely stopped working.

I don't have any video or track of any song of their list, but if you are curious to herad what the Stoner rock is about, i put here the video, filmed during another GIG - the birthday of the Cassetta bar and the underground music venue of Jerusalem.

The name of this band is "The Great Machine" and they are very popular in the local underground Stoner and Metall scenes.

A few weeks ago i started with initiative of posting in every my post a link with the freshly found inspiring me band. As usual it's some GEM from 60-70th. And today i would like to introduce here the RARE album of the PHAFNER band from US. They played and recorded in a basement in Iowa. The band is pressed up only 50 copies on Dragon Records. Two copies of their album OVERDRIVE ever sold: one for £2583 & another for £3656. Very not bad, should i say.

yes exactly. when i watching some music clips from 60-70th and video is a slide show made from the images of the Artists and the Bands, i feel the endless inspiration and feeling of something special and real. I'm sending you some series, i think it was my first time when i photographed a GIG on film.
It happened in 2015 in one of the underground pubs of Tel Aviv. It was the real amazing sh*t - the music, the vibe, the people around and the feeling of every single click !
