Joropo de tipical music from my country [Iniciative] ESP/ENG

I really like the topic our friend @avdesing has proposed for this month, as it gives us the chance to showcase a bit more of our respective countries' cultures. In my case, I’m from Venezuela (like many Hivers). We have a wide variety of musical rhythms here—music born from the blend of Indigenous, African, and Spanish influences—but the dominant style of traditional or "criolla" music is the *joropo*. It is played using three main instruments: maracas, the *cuatro* (similar to a guitar but smaller, with only four strings—hence the name), and the most important one, the harp, which sets the rhythm. There are different types of *joropo*, such as *La Quirpa*, *Seis por Derecho*, *Zuamba que Zumba*, and the most iconic one, *El Pajarillo*; the latter is instantly recognizable because it begins with a vocal shout from the singer. I’m sharing a sample here featuring a song by one of the greatest exponents of *criolla* music, Luis Silva. It’s a beautiful song that highlights the beauty of the plains (*los llanos*) and our country in general; I love it because it also features spoken-word passages—it’s almost like a poem (I encourage you to listen to the whole thing, as it’s well worth it).

Me gusta mucho el topico que propone para este mes nuestra amiga @avdesing ya que aquí tenemos la oportunidad de exponer un poco más de la cultura de nuestros respectivos países, En mi caso les contaré que soy de Venezuela (como muchos de los hivers) el caso es que aquí tenemos muchos ritmos, música que nació como producto de la mezcla que somos entre indígenas, negros africanos y españoles pero en medio de todo eso lo que más predomina como música típica o "Música criolla" como la llamamos por aquí, es el joropo, música que se toca con tres instrumentos básicamente: las maracas, el cuatro (parecido a una guitarra pero es más pequeño y solo tiene cuatro cuerdas, de ahí el nombre) y el más importante de todos, el arpa que es el que marca el ritmo. Hay diferentes tipos de Joropos como La Quirpa, el Seis por Derecho, Zuamba que Zumba y el más típico, el Pajarillo, es que que más se reconoce porque inicia con un grito del cantante al inicio, Por aquí les dejo una muestra con una canción de uno de nuestros mayores exponentes de la música criolla, Luis Silva, es una canción muy bonita que menciona las bellezas del llano y de nuestro país en general, me gusta porque también tiene declamaciones, es como un poema (los invito a escucharla toda porque vale mucho la pena).
