Hola Hivers, como saben me gustan mucho las canciones de Billie Eilish, me gustó la idea de hacer un top 5 de mis canciones favoritas de cada álbum. Comenzaré con Don’t Smile at Me, no es un álbum sino un EP, lo lanzó en 2017 y contiene 9 canciones.

1-. Party favor.

Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas en general, me gusta mucho porque es una canción muy delicada por así decirlo, el ritmo es pegadizo y el tono de la voz le da un toque muy único.

2-. Ocean Eyes.

“Ocean Eyes” fue su primera canción, en realidad la escribió su hermano Finneas, un día Billie la cantó y todos estuvieron de acuerdo para subirla y al día siguiente se haría viral. Es un éxito en todos los sentidos.

3-. Hostage.

Tiene algo que me encanta, sinceramente no sé qué es, pero desde que la escuché por primera vez recuerdo no poder parar escucharla día y noche hasta que me aburriera, cosa que era muy difícil. Me encanta absolutamente todo de esta canción, hasta el vídeo musical.

4-. COPYCAT.
Trata de una persona que le copia a otra, mi parte favorita es cuando dice “Cuida tu espalda cuando no puedas cuidar la mía.” y se me hizo un tema muy original para crear una canción tan maravillosa en literalmente todo!!

5-. My boy.
Prácticamente la letra de esta canción trata de una relación tóxica. Es una de mis favoritas y no puede faltar reproducirse en mi playlist usando escucho canciones de Billie.

Ahora pasamos con su primer álbum, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”. Se me hace muy difícil elegir entre estas canciones porque me encantan todas.

1-. Xanny.
Amo con todo mi ser esta canción, se me hizo muy difícil elegir pero creo que fue una buena decisión. Si no me equivoco el título tiene que ver con los efectos del Xanax el cuál es un tratamiento para la ansiedad, estrés, paros cardíacos o crisis y puede llegar a convertirse en una adicción. En cambio en la canción hay una parte que dice “No necesito un xanny para sentirme mejor” Refiriéndose a esta sustancia.

2-. Wish You Were Gay.
La canción anterior estaba compitiendo con esta, debo de admitirlo. Me encanta todo, el ritmo, la letra, en especial el inicio, es algo lento y melancólico por decirlo así, después de un momento a otro el ritmo cambie por completo.

3-. All The Good Girls Go To Hell.
Me gusta porque habla sobre el cambio climático y la destrucción de la tierra. Por si no sabían Billie es una persona que siempre trata de ayudar con el medio ambiente y que hable de un tema así en unas de sus canciones es una buena idea para motivar a otras personas a ayudar.

4-. Bury a Friend.
La letra es pegadiza y el vídeo musical ha sido uno de los mejores que he visto en toda la carrera de Billie.

5-. Ilomilo
Cuando Billie era pequeña, jugaba mucho ese videojuego.
Se trata de la ausencia de una persona, algo triste, pero aún así es una excelente canción.

Creo que este está un poco más difícil que el anterior. El siguiente álbum, es “Happier Than Ever”, apenas tiene dos años desde que salió. Pero cada canción que contiene sigue siendo un clásico.

1-. Getting Older.
Se me hizo difícil porque estaba entre esta y “Halley’s Comet”, pero esta es muy buena también y la escucho mucho más. Habla de cómo va creciendo y cómo lleva más peso en sus hombros con el tiempo, la letra es muy linda y nunca me canso de escucharla.

2-. Halley’s Comet.
Ahora sí, Halley’s Comet expresa sentirse enamorado de una persona, y no saber qué hacer con tal sentimiento. Me encanta las notas de voz que hace en cada verso de la canción, los versos finales son mis favoritos. Es una canción muy linda y una de las mejores de este álbum.

3-. Your Power
Es una canción muy linda, le gusta porque ha sido una de las primeras canciones en las que se escucha solamente la guitarra y la voz de Billie.

4-.Therefore I Am.
Hace referencia a René Descartes y cómo algunas personas hablan de ella, es decir, de Billie sin conocerla bien.

5-. Everybody Dies.
Tanto el ritmo como la letra son un poco melancólicos, pues trata de la muerte, “Todos mueren, pero cuándo lo haré yo?”. En la canción también hay un verso en el que Billie expresa que está bien sentirse mal y llorar porque no estás solo.

Ahora siguen los sencillos, ya sean para películas o etcétera.

1-. Lo Vas a Olvidar.
Es una colaboración con ROSALÍA para la serie de Euphoria, me gusta por que se puede oír a Billie cantar en español e inglés durante toda la canción.

2-. Bored.
Esta canción fue creada para la serie “13 Reasons Why” y habla sobre el desinterés de una persona y el cómo se aburre de ella por la misma razón.

3-. No Time to Die.
También, es para una película (La cuál nunca he visto jeje), la canción es muy buena casi siempre la escucho igual como todas.

4-. What Was I Made For.
La canción del soundtrack de Barbie, es una canción en piano, con una voz suave. Habla de cómo se siente Barbie en la película y se cuestiona para qué fue hecha.

5-. The 30th
Esta no es una canción de una película, sino un sencillo que Billie sacó el año pasado. Se llama “Guitar Songs”, The 30th habla de un accidente que tuvo un amigo muy cercano a Billie el 30 de noviembre de 2021.

Estos son mis tops 5 de canciones de Billie, aunque en sí todas me gustan y son muy buenas.

My Top 5 Billie Eilish Songs

Hello Hivers, as you know, I really enjoy Billie Eilish's songs, and I liked the idea of creating a top 5 list of my favorite songs from each album. I'll start with "Don't Smile at Me," which is not an album but an EP released in 2017, containing 9 songs.

1-. Party favor.

This is one of my favorite songs overall. I like it a lot because it's a very delicate song, the melody is catchy, and the tone of the voice gives it a unique touch.

2-. Ocean Eyes.

"Ocean Eyes" was her first song, actually written by her brother Finneas. Billie sang it one day, and everyone agreed to upload it, and the next day, it went viral. It's a success in every way.

3-. Hostage.

There's something about this song that I love; I honestly don't know what it is, but from the first time I heard it, I couldn't stop listening day and night until I got tired, which was very rare. I love everything about this song, even the music video.

4-. COPYCAT.

It's about someone copying another person, and my favorite part is when she says, "Watch your back when you can't watch mine." It's an original theme for such a wonderful song in every way!!

5-. My boy.

The lyrics of this song are about a toxic relationship. It's one of my favorites and must be played in my playlist when I listen to Billie's songs.

Now, let's move on to her first album, "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" It's quite challenging to choose among these songs because I love them all.

1-. Xanny.

I love this song with all my heart. It was tough to choose between this and "Wish You Were Gay," but I think it was a good decision. If I'm not mistaken, the title refers to the effects of Xanax, which is a treatment for anxiety, stress, heart attacks, or seizures and can become addictive. However, in the song, there's a part that says, "I don't need a Xanny to feel better," referring to this substance.

2-. Wish You Were Gay.

The previous song was in competition with this one, I must admit. I love everything about it - the rhythm, the lyrics, especially the beginning, which is slow and melancholic, and then, suddenly, the rhythm changes completely.

3-. All The Good Girls Go To Hell.

I like it because it talks about climate change and the destruction of the Earth. In case you didn't know, Billie is someone who always tries to help the environment, and for her to address such a topic in one of her songs is a good way to motivate others to help.

4-. Bury a Friend.

The lyrics are catchy, and the music video is one of the best I've seen in Billie's career.

5-. Ilomilo.

When Billie was little, she used to play that video game. It's about the absence of a person, somewhat sad, but still an excellent song.

I think this one is a bit more challenging than the previous one. The next album is "Happier Than Ever," which has only been out for two years. But every song it contains is still a classic.

1-. Getting Older.

It was challenging because I was torn between this one and "Halley's Comet," but this one is great too, and I listen to it more often. It talks about growing up and carrying more weight on your shoulders over time. The lyrics are beautiful, and I never get tired of listening to it.

2-. Halley's Comet.

Now, Halley's Comet expresses being in love with someone and not knowing what to do with such feelings. I love the voice notes she includes in each verse of the song, and the final verses are my favorite. It's a very lovely song and one of the best on this album.

3-. Your Power.

It's a very lovely song. I like it because it's one of the first songs where you can hear only Billie's voice and a guitar.

4-. Therefore I Am.

It refers to René Descartes and how some people talk about her, Billie, without knowing her well.

5-. Everybody Dies.

Both the rhythm and the lyrics are a bit melancholic as it deals with death - "Everyone dies, but when will I?". The song also has a verse where Billie expresses that it's okay to feel bad and cry because you're not alone.

Now, let's move on to the singles, whether they are for movies or other projects.

1-. Lo Vas a Olvidar.

It's a collaboration with ROSALÍA for the Euphoria series. I like it because you can hear Billie sing in both Spanish and English throughout the song.

2-. Bored.

This song was created for the "13 Reasons Why" series and talks about losing interest in someone and getting bored of them for the same reason.

3-. No Time to Die.

Also for a movie (which I've never seen, hehe), the song is very good, and I usually listen to it like all the others.

4-. What Was I Made For.

The song from the Barbie soundtrack is a piano ballad with a soft voice. It talks about how Barbie feels in the movie and questions why she was made.

5-. The 30th.

This one isn't from a movie but a single Billie released last year. It's called "Guitar Songs," and "The 30th" talks about an accident that a close friend of Billie had on November 30, 2021.

These are my top 5 Billie songs, although I love all of them, and they are all very good.
