Después de 4 meses de preparación, de compromiso, entrega y dedicación por parte de mis niñas y de mi persona, el dia viernes se realizó la muestra final del taller de danza aérea en telas. Ese día en Caracas llovió muchísimo, de hecho la presentación era a las 4:00 pm, se decidió moverla a las 5:30 pm, ya que mucha gente no había llegado al lugar de encuentro y además en algunas zonas aledañas se cayeron árboles y se fue la luz. Por lo tanto, los nervios de quienes se iban a presentar, de mis niñas y de mi persona se incrementaba por la espera. Antes de cada presentación los nervios son parte de la función, y creo que eso es al final lo que nos hace sentir vivos, ese sustico en el pecho antes de salir a las tablas. Gracias a Dios escampo y los familiares,amigos y profesores pudieron llegar al lugar para disfrutar de la muestra final. Aunque en la Casa cultural en dónde sería la presentación, mientras llovía, se desmoronó parte de un muro que estaba arriba de una biblioteca, por suerte no había nadie abajo y no sucedió un accidente. En seguida las personas encargadas del espacio tomaron cartas en el asunto y recogieron los escombros que estaban en el suelo.

After 4 months of preparation, commitment, delivery and dedication on the part of my girls and myself, the final exhibition of the aerial dance workshop on fabrics was held on Friday. That day in Caracas it rained a lot, in fact the presentation was at 4:00 pm, it was decided to move it to 5:30 pm, since many people had not arrived at the meeting place and also in some surrounding areas trees fell and the power went out. Therefore, the nerves of those who were going to show up, my girls and myself, increased due to the wait. Before each performance, nerves are part of the show, and I think that's what makes us feel alive in the end, that scare in the chest before going out on stage. Thank God escampo and family, friends and teachers were able to get to the place to enjoy the final sample. Although in the Cultural House where the presentation would be, while it was raining, part of a wall that was above a library collapsed, luckily there was no one below and an accident did not happen. The people in charge of the space immediately took action on the matter and collected the debris that was on the ground.

Mientras todo sucedía me llamaron a la oficina para firmar los certificados que serían entregados a las participantes del taller de danza aérea en telas al finalizar la presentación. Cuando culmine de firmar los certificados. Le pedí ayuda a uno de los productores para que me ayudara a colgar las telas en la viga del espacio. Luego de haberlas colgado, en seguida comenzamos a hacer un ensayo con mis niñas, hacer un recorrido en el espacio, repasar las entradas y salidas, pasar la coreografía y subirse a la tela para ir acondicionando el cuerpo. Nos dió tiempo de todo, hicimos varias pasadas y pulimos varias figuras, para que la presentación quedará hermosa. También para que mis niñas estuvieran más seguras de si mismas. A veces los nervios traicionan, por eso antes de cada presentación hay que estar muy preparados para dar lo mejor de si mismos.

After having hung them, we immediately began to do a rehearsal with my girls, take a tour of the space, review the entrances and exits, pass the choreography and get on the canvas to condition the body. He gave us time for everything, we made several passes and polished several figures, so that the presentation would be beautiful. Also for my girls to be more sure of themselves. Sometimes nerves betray, that's why before each presentation you have to be very prepared to give the best of yourself.

De repente, ya era la hora de la presentación, la espera ya había acabado y el público empezó a llegar. Pensé que la espera sería aún más larga pero paso más rápido de lo que pensé. Cabe destacar que no solo se iban a presentar mis niñas, sino que también se presentaron los demás talleres. La actividad transcurrió en que cada taller tenía una estación, primero era la del taller de tejido, taller de flamenco, taller de modejale, taller de dibujo, taller de guitarra, taller de manejo de miedo escénico y luego venía el taller de danza aérea, fue como una visita guiada a un museo.

Suddenly, it was time for the presentation, the wait was over and the public began to arrive. I thought the wait would be even longer but it happened faster than I thought. It should be noted that not only my girls were going to present themselves, but also the other workshops. The activity took place in which each workshop had a station, first there was the weaving workshop, flamenco workshop, modeling workshop, drawing workshop, guitar workshop, stage fright management workshop and then came the aerial dance workshop, it was like a guided tour of a museum.

Fue muy lindo de verdad, ya es segunda vez que vivo está experiencia, el año pasado se hizo lo mismo pero sin tantos obstaculos. Y cuando menos lo esperamos comenzó la función.

It was really nice, it's the second time I've lived this experience, last year the same thing was done but without so many obstacles. And when we least expected it, the show began.

Mis niñas hicieron todo asombroso, estuvieron increíbles, seguras de si mismas, disfrutando todo su espectáculo. Quedé encantada, parece que hubieran nacido para estar en el aire, volar con sus sueños, explotando el viento desde su sentir. Estuve muy orgullosa de ellas y de mi misma, me gusta impartir clases, me gusta ver a mis estudiantes entrar a mis clases sin tener conocimiento y cuando finalizan las clases irse con todo un mundo de nuevas posibilidades.
Por ultimo, se entregaron los certificados a cada participante y tallerista. Una experiencia súper linda que hace que sigamos moviendo el arte y la cultura en Caracas. Gracias infinitas.

My girls did everything amazing, they were incredible, sure of themselves, enjoying their whole show. I was delighted, it seems that they were born to be in the air, to fly with their dreams, exploding the wind from their feelings. I was very proud of them and of myself, I like to teach, I like to see my students enter my classes with no knowledge and when they finish the classes they leave with a whole world of new possibilities.
