A concert is so much more than the few minutes you see on stage—it takes time to prepare, rehearsals, a lot of patience, hard work, and a love of music! Behind every concert there are so many emotions, nerves, and a deep love of music
Lo sé porque de niña ocupe ese lugar, fui esa niña en concierto y puedo decirles que es de las mejores sensaciones y emociones que he experimentado, así como también ahora de profesora son las mismas pero con mayor gratitud, porque cada niño y niña tiene un poquito de ti, de lo que das en cada clase, de cada palabra de aliento cuando no sale también o de esa corrección que alimenta su disciplina y constancia
I know this because, as a child, I was in that very spot; I was that little girl at the concert, and I can tell you it’s one of the best feelings and emotions I’ve ever experienced. And now, as a teacher, those feelings are the same—but with even greater gratitude—because every boy and girl has a little bit of you in them: a bit of what you give in every class, every word of encouragement when things don’t go their way, or that correction that fosters their discipline and perseverance.
Pero más allá hay una logística increíble, que va desde un globo hasta hasta la partitura, cada concierto deja una anécdota diferente e incluso hasta chistosa jaja, quien diría que los profesores tan elegantes y en tacones, cargamos de todo un poco por plena calle, tambores y demás instrumentos, jaja limpiamos, acomodamos, decoramos y terminamos sirviendo refrigerio, somos un bonito equipo y colaborar para el concierto es fundamental
But behind the scenes, there’s an incredible amount of logistics involved—from a balloon to the sheet music. Every concert leaves us with a different story, and sometimes even a funny one, haha. Who would have thought that we teachers, so elegant and in heels, would end up carrying all sorts of things right down the street—drums and other instruments? Haha. We clean, set up, decorate, and even end up serving refreshments. We’re a great team, and working together for the concert is essential.
