Hola amigos, ¿qué tal? ¿Cómo están? Ya vamos casi a mitad de semana y por aquí andamos en el trabajo, bastante full, organizándonos con las planificaciones, con todo el repertorio que se viene y cada una de las exigencias del programa y de nosotras mismas.

Hey, friends, how's it going? How are you all doing? We're almost halfway through the week, and over here at work we're pretty swamped, getting organized with our schedules, the upcoming lineup, and all the demands of the show and of ourselves.

​Hoy recibimos a los niños más pequeños, los más tiernos, que siempre nos llegan al salón con alguna flor, alguna hojita o hasta una piedra. Tienen la costumbre de que siempre alguno nos regala algo y, pues, nosotras valoramos absolutamente todo; sobre todo sus cartitas hechas a mano, que ahora no tengo ninguna porque están guardadas, pero un día de estos se las muestro.

Today we welcomed our youngest, sweetest children, who always come into the classroom with a flower, a little leaf, or even a pebble. They have a habit of always giving us a little something, and we truly appreciate every single thing—especially their handwritten notes. I don’t have any with me right now because they’re put away, but I’ll show them to you one of these days.

​Y bueno, hoy viendo y estudiando el repertorio del Día de las Madres, me emociona, porque esta actividad o este concierto que haremos para celebrarlo siempre son muy emotivos, llenos de risas, de lágrimas de felicidad, de alegría, de amor y de mucha cercanía.

Well, today, as I’m looking over and rehearsing the Mother’s Day program, I’m getting emotional, because this event—or rather, the concert we’ll be putting on to celebrate—is always very moving, filled with laughter, tears of joy, happiness, love, and a real sense of togetherness.

​En lo particular, este repertorio se monta con mucho más amor, con una energía no de que salga perfecto, sino de conectar con todas esas madres. Por eso me emociona tanto realizarlo y, sin duda, espero que llegue a ellas de esa manera tan especial en la que estamos trabajando. Además, se nos ocurrió la idea de que algunos niños digan poesías para este día. Quedará muy hermoso, sobre todo porque está hecho con amor.

Personally, this performance is put together with so much more love—not with the energy of striving for perfection, but with the energy of connecting with all those mothers. That’s why I’m so excited to put it on, and I certainly hope it reaches them in that special way we’re working toward. We also came up with the idea of having some children recite poems for this occasion. It’s going to be beautiful, especially because it’s made with love.
