Vocalist or Instrumentalist | Working Hand In Hand

Gone where those days that I was one of those that do admire music from afar especially during Sunday service, I always make sure I'm in church early enough to witness the choir possession and see them lining up according to their musical part (suprano, alto, tenor and bass) chanting and singing and also the instrument doing their own magic in support and all I do wish was when will I be among this people. At some point, I made up my mind to be a chorister, at some point I figured out they have this strict choir master who was like one man band, he can sing all part easily and also good with the piano, so he was trying drill everyone with strict hand, first week was easy but at some point, I excused myself with the way he was always shouting at us at every opportunity.

After a while I develop interest for trumpet and decided to join the instrumentalist clique and it was really a good choice, I can't use my vocals, I can always use my strength and skills to play. When it come to picking between vocalist or instrumentalist, I will always stay in between because both work hand in hand and both can stand alone at times, vocalist they say are the one who bring the whole musical lyrics to life, add up emotions to give the songs deeper meaning while Instrumentalist on the other hand are the backbone of musics, they majorly stand as the foundation or should I say the structure of music, and if there is no foundation then nothing will be able to stand, at times singing lyrics only can't give that deep vibes without the rhythms or melodies.

The way vocalist love song lyrics, is the way instrumentalist are more focus on the song solfege and this is the part where I really love the most, we had to know it off head most of the time especially when it come to some certain instrument that cant really freestyle like the drummers, talking drum etc, any deviation will have impact in the whole song, so most of the time we need to master the technical skills needed and also develop muscle memory, have deep understanding when it come to musical knowledge, be creative and also learn how to collaborate with out musicians since it is not a one man band, instrumentalist depend on each other for completion likewise vocalist.
