Bad Company - legends combined

A band from the UK that used to be popular but never bcame status of the real globally known ones. In the 1980ies i got the album "Fame and Fortune" by mistake and was excited - loved it. To me still one of the best rock albums in the 1980ies- only realized later that my mastermind Mick Jones(founder of Foreigner) was part of this album as producer, if you know Mick and Foreigner you might realize a similar style of music, the guitar play, adding keyboards and melodic approach of the songs. "Fame and Fortune" is the seventh studio album and was the first one as reformed group with original members and a new lead singer Brian Howe (formerly of Ted Nugent's band) who sounds a bit like Lou Gramm, my Foreigner hero number 2 - similar voice.

The band has an interesting history, created by ex members of "Free" back in the 1970ies, a lot linked to Led Zeppelin and many other Rock heroes. Even the album "Fame and Fortune " was niot that successful commercially it is a perfect one to me (maybe as I am a Foreigner superfan).

One of the early Bad Company tracks from 1974 - enjoy:

So who are these guys?

Bad Company was originally formed in 1973 by Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke (both ex-Free), Mick Ralphs (ex-Mott the Hoople) and Boz Burrell (ex-King Crimson).Their manager was a pretty popular guy - Peter Grant, who managed the Led Zeppelin as well as Bad Company til 1982.

After that numerous changes in line-up, deaths etc happened - Paul returned, got away, re-unions took place - more can be read via the lovely Wikipedia of course:
