Psytrance Techno again - Astrix for your pleasure

I know @simplymike is a fan of psytrance - hence another try - I did not come across about that niche style so much in my DJ past but after some checks I found out i like that sound - but we need feedback from others if this is really psytrance as they / whoever defines it - to me it is a mix of old school Techno and Trance depending on the artist - while I love the Cristobal stuff i posted some months ago the following to me sounds a bit too commercial but good beats and vibes indeed for a cool Friday party night.

Astrix - who is that?

Astrix is a DJ from Israel - my stupid first thought went to a comic series that covers special characters in a time long ago where Rome Cesar and some French town heros got involved :-).

But I was wrong - so Astrix is originally Avi Shmailov, born in Russia but living in Israel (follow some marketing speech via his YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsBSMQZsiLprSY6GqhI25Jw)

one of the leading PsyTrance producers & DJs in the world for 15 years, carrying his musical message of psychedelic emotional uplifting trance to every corner of the world, to huge festivals (EDC, Burning Man, Tomorrowland, Ozora, Universo Paralello, XXXperience), to the biggest urban clubs (Brixton Academy, Ministry of Sound, O2 Arena, Pacha, Privilege) & underground events.

Devoted to his art and a true perfectionist, Astrix is known for massive hypnotic explosive sets on the dancefloor & for his precise detailed production in the studio. Both always laced with tons of feel & musicality. His music has been topping the charts and his albums are considered milestones.

His debut album ‘Eye to Eye’, defined him as a trance music anthems producer and was followed by successful Artcore, Red Means Distortion & other compilations and EPs. Astrix 4th studio album, “He.art” was released early in 2016, and took over the world by storm

I found some great productions and lovely live gigs as follows, enjoy it and have a love #danceweekend Hive community!

Sorry, only just saw this.
Astrix is definitely psytrance. I especially love his old work, like the Artcore album, but he still rocks. Damn, it's 11am on a Wednesday and I'm in a party mood again already, just from listening 😜
