MondayTrance - the forgotten music tag
Es ist mal wieder soweit für Frankfurt Trance - egal was ich suche bei neeuen Talenten (die es durchaus gibt) ich lande immer wieder bei diversen Freunden aus Frankfurt - das war mein Trance, mein Techno und ist es noch immer
Trance and Techno is my love
As some of you might remember (apart from Metal / Rock - i just love music). I recently tried to discover the new Techno and Trance scene - i did not find a lot that made me feel we moved on sicne the early days - of course we see tons of great DJ talents (hard to judge if they really play though) on events like Tomorrowland- I personally still am kind of stuck in my days as a DJ and the sounds mainly created in the Frankfurt area (and HUGE fan of Belgium and its new stars - a lot of female talent - you know who I talk about!) - who else can I tag for their opinon as @edje @mammasitta @andyjaypowell or @twinner @simsahas ?
DJ Dag always been one of my favourite DJS, together with Mark Spoon, Jam el Mar, Sven Väth - so forgive me for reminding you about the best sounds. DJ Dag in particular and his story living with the American natives in a tent strikes me still - I met him personally. And the project he created based on that is simply awesome and to me a role mode of Trance music.
The entry link is one ofthe best HR3 Clubnight Compilations - a famous radio station that covered the German Techno scene since its start - Love it - enjoy the two hours of DAG.
Check what the marketing department wrote about him and the first track from the Dance2Trance project:
Dance 2 Trance - Hello San Francisco - "DJ DAG" is known as the "Godfather of Trance", he gave "the child's name" when he start in 1991 with his Project "Dance 2 Trance". Since that point, he was his definition of Trance always remained faithful. His sound is unique and its reputation is legendary. Dag's DJ career began in 1985 in the "Music Hall" in Frankfurt, other important milestones in his career were the "Club UK /Complex" in London, "1015 Folsom" in San Francisco, the legendary Underground Club "Omen", the "Dorian Gray", "U60311" and "Cocoon" in Frankfurt. All german attention he gained by his early sets at the "HR3 Clubnight", he belongs to their resident DJ´s since 1993. His international „breakthrough" came with the track "P.ower of A.merican N.atives" (Gold Record Award), countless other productions and remixes with his projects, "Dance 2 Trance", "Peyote", "Crazy Malamute", "DJ Dag" and many more followed, since he produced with different partners on different labels, worldwide. DAG is currently with his newest project "The Flowmasterz" at his own label "Mato Music" and as "DJ DAG" himself to be present. Planet Bass Records is proud and looks forward to many new joint projects and tracks and a successful cooperation with the "Godfather of Trance".
Enjoy and have a love #DanceWeekend even before Monday

The Godfather of Trance! 👑 Nothing beats that original Frankfurt energy.
Am not that knowledagble on Trance. I just know that thwe Trance of back then, doesn't seem to exist anymore. Much evolved into EDM, I suppose. Not even sure what Tiesto and Armin van Buuren are doing today. The new wave of Belgium female DJs went from ok to good, in to the wrong direction, to my taste. But you know me, I don't like much of the popularised sounds.
Jam& Spoon: a couple I listened to quite a bit beck in the days. Still own a few CDs. I think they came to my ears after a round of Eurodance, early to mid-90s. Perhaps kinda at the same time, don't remember anymore. It was the same time I discovered Techno, a style that grabbed me 'by the balls'.

Great mix of nostalgia and discovery in your search
Frankfurt’s sound still is interesting, those early vibes never fade
