A Flog of Seagulls - Brit Pop / New Wave
One of the songs i really liked during my youth - and a band that got forgotten a bit I think at least outside their home zone - would love to hear feedback by master @steevc - I remmeber they came from Liverpool
I heard them often in my youth
They never been one of the acts I loved but i heard and even more important still remember them - they been part of these (my personal) UK sounds around New Order and other cool acts. No idea what happened to them. According to the main source of the internet the members of the original lineup assembled to record the album Ascension with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra three years ago.
I also just learned they even won a Grammy - totally new to me.
What makes me becoming active again for the
Vote for new acts to be part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
To me pretty clear, some interesting names with cool music but not related to rock, who should be inducted there.
Vote for the act you would like to be included (not sure it is still live, the heroic selection phase) - given this is a rock hall I have concerns towards certain acts as they do not fit into this certain genre - also bit surprised the band that made my school times fun are still not included even they sold not only millions of albums but been popular everywhere.

A flog? My sister had at least one of their records, but then she was more into music than I was back then. They were part of the wave of synth bands with Depeche Mode and Human League, but didn't get the same success.
True - i got to know them around these bands such as Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Visage, Human League or Blue Monday - the main difference to me was they used guitar sounds more than others
that guy seems to be one of the new music guys we always wanted @steevc - agree? @sunsethunter
What a band and tune! Love britpop and all of the new wave bands out of England!:)
likewise - in my youth i struggled but i always loved the sound and now as old man i see them as the founders of these sounds
