Connection via lyrics~Nonfiction prompt 71

Its about four years ago when i had to meet her. I was captivated by her words , her thoughts, her presence and her activities . She mesmerized me alot through her emchanting personality . Though she was much younger than me but still she had inspiring personality. She had good taste of things i used to like most like philosophy,poetry, verses and songs.

Our meet up was accidental. None of us would have imagined that type of meet up. Just through reading words of each others , we came very close to each other. She was silly and sensible at same time. She used to do silly things but one can never guess her age through the thoughts she keeps. She was deep and was not habitual of blathering

One day we were talking normally when she suddenly started singing. I was astonished by her euphonius and melodious voice. I didn’t know of her this talent before. She was singing a romantic songs whose lyrics were depicting a feeling of lover for his/her love. The song was

Pal do pal ki hi kyun hai zindagi( Why the life is just of few lapses)

She muttered; you know usman this is not just song or set of lyrics.This is depection of ultimate platonic connection of two souls which looks quite impossible in today’s scenario. I have listened it so many times and each time this song gave me a separate story and unique goosebumps. I am totally surprised how someone can eluciate his feeling in such an incredible way.

Well i was already impressed by her dulcet voice and her such interpretation made me really astonished . I was one who used to enjoy just beat . Even i didn’t ever come to know about lyrics of many songs and she was one who not just learnt the lyrics but pondered on them too.

**She asked **: “Usman , what are your thoughts about music?” . I take a long breath as i know i will have to give credible answer.

“Bud❤️, for me music is a way to give platonic pleasure to your soul. I think music is a source to defrost the heart from frosted state. It is an instrument to thaw the ice of consiennce.” I muttered.

She smiled and said “ you know Usman these poets and musicians are very lucky . They are blessed with that gift which is not conferred on all naturally. They know how to express their thoughts and sentiments in an exquisite way.

“Music is connection between souls. It lightens and enfreshes the soul. Many people develop wrong opinion about music. Spreading nudity or lewd is not the purpose or premise of music. Music is everything that alters you from you phlegmatic inertia to loving and tranquilized soul . It can be a tune,verse or just words.”,She said

She was talking like she has been in another world. The way she debunked the many aspects of music were totally mindblowimg. It was due to her that i developed my taste in song. I also started concentrating on lurics and wonders and i percieved that she was right.

From that day on , every time i mused on any song , I remembered her. Though i don’t know how to play flute and guitar but i developed taste for them as amateur. Guitar strings on tuning reminisce me of her words and feelings which she depicted to me that day. Today, she is not with me. She is too far from me . But still i have her through music and this is what she meant to deliver to me that music is some sort of connection.
