Hi everyone.

Continuing with #threetunetuesday posts.

Today is the time for Producers.

"What is a Music Producer?
A music producer is the person responsible for overseeing and managing the recording process of an album or single, ensuring that the finished product meets the desired quality and creative vision. They often play a role in selecting songs, musicians, and recording studios, as well as shaping the sound of the recordings through techniques such as mixing and mastering. A music producer can also bring creative input and suggestions to the artist and help guide the direction of the project."

We are living in times when it is rather easy and convenient to self-produce your own work.
Trends backed by technology are (just like it is case with web3, crypto finance and many other things) leading to decentralization and self-sufficiency. Nothing wrong with that.
Yet without the old school approach we would hardly get tons of music masterpieces that were made and still are being made, and from whom would we be able to learn and get references for the present and future works?
Music Producers more than often played pivotal role in particular bands or artists drive towards success. That is why they are often called "the 5th member" of the band.

Perhaps the Best record of all times is Michael Jacksons, Thriller produced by Quincy Jones, but here I will mention other three Producers who had tremendous impact on the world of music.

Naturally the first one is George Martin, the 5th Beatle.
One could argue without him we would simply never have The Beatles phenomenon. He recognized their talent, was pivotal influence in them getting record deal with Parlophone and the rest is history.

The second one will be Brian Eno.
Known as one of the pioneers of ambient and electronic music but who also shaped the sound of so many bands and artists giving them all extra dimension. From David Bowie to Talking Heads, U2, Coldplay and many others.

U2 - Unforgettable Fire (Produced by Brian Eno)

Third one will be Rick Rubin. Major influence on me personally and my generation...One that introduced crossover music to the world that successfully blended various genres, mainly Hip Hop, Funk and Hard Rock. From Beastie Boys and Run DMC, LL Cool J to Chili Peppers, Metallica... list is huge.
In my opinion what is Tarantino for the movie world, Rick Rubin is for the music.

I hope you enjoyed reading and listening. Best Regards.

A good producer helps an artist achieve their potential. I have heard that Rick Rubin is not really technical and he doesn't play an instrument, but he seems to have a sense of what will work. They have engineers to work the equipment. Of course some of us have to be our own producers and it's hard to be good at everything.
